It's kinda long, but your eternity is well worth it.

Getting saved is telling God that you accept Jesus' sacrifice to pay a debt that you owe for your sins.

Please visit this website and click the icon "Let Me Ask"
It'll walk you step by step through some verses in the Bible explaining salvation

Nevermind I retreated it for you

Do you know for sure if you died today
that you would go to heaven?

1. Realize that God loves you.

God loves you and has a plan for your life.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
- John 3:16

2. The Bible Says That All Men Are Sinners.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23

God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin and our sin keeps us from God.

3. God's Word Says That Sin Must Be Paid For.

"For the wages of sin is death..." - Romans 6:23

Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is death and hell - separation from God forever. If we go on in our sin we will die without Christ and be tormented without God forever.

4. The Good News Is That Christ Paid For Our Sin.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

All our sin was placed on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us by dying. He arose the third day, and will never have to die again.

5. We Must Personally Pray And Receive Christ By Faith As Our Savior.

The Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13

It also says; "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, Lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

6. Pray And Receive Christ As Your Savior.

"Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I died right now I would not go to heaven. Please forgive my sin, come into my life, and by my Savior. I believe that you, Jesus Christ, are God. You died on the cross to pay for my sin, then rose again the third day. Help me live for You from this day forward. In Jesus' name, Amen."

7. New Life

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Everlasting life begins when we receive Christ by faith as our Savior.

8. We Should Follow Christ.

"For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
-Romans 10:11

We follow Christ by telling others what He has done for us. We also follow Him by joining a local, Bible believing, Bible preaching church through believer's baptism.

"Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls." - Acts 2:41

If you have made the decision to receive Christ, or would like to learn more about making that decision, please email us at sidgrace@bright.net. We would love to hear from you!

You have to be Humbled, learn the meaning of Trust, and know what true Love is. Most people are saved when they are at a truly lowest part of their lives and actually beg God for His Grace, Wisdom, Guidance, and Love. When someone becomes truly saved, the Holy Spirit overwhelms the physical and spiritual bodies. Material wants and desires become non-important. You have the want and need to be closer to God to the extent that dying( naturally not self-inflicted) becomes a not so scary, but exciting conclusion to life.

1) Hear and understand the Word of the Kingdom (the Gospel) (Mt 13:23) -- God initiated.
2) Repent (Mr 1:15)
3) Believe the Gospel of Christ (Mr 1:15)
4) Baptism (Mr 16:16)
5) Overcoming sin, the world and the Devil and doing the will of God (1Jo 5:4, 1Jo 2:13, Mt 7:21)
6) Enduring till the end (Mt 24:13 -- But he who endures to the end shall be saved.)

Pangel, everything that Jett B said is the steps I took. It doesn't have to be in a church, a person can be saved in the privacy of their own home or anywhere for that matter. Although I became saved in a church, I have found many other people who had not gone to a church to receive Jesus in their hearts.

Peace and Love to you.

If you live a good clean life as an ordinary person you need not worry you will be saved. But if you want to go to what people call Heaven - there is no heaven- heaven is the process of merging with the lord. Let me explain. we all come from the lord. Just like all water is part of the ocean, we are part of the lord. When we are really good on earth and get rid of the 5 elements that separate us from God. Namely Sex, Anger, Love of material things, Greed, and Ego. If you can get rid of these than you can go to heaven otherwise you will have to take rebirth to come back and sort the 5 Defeciences that i have told you above

Pangel - first you want to be saved. Next, you pray. You can pray as you like, but the basic idea is to say something along the lines of "Lord, I know I am a sinner. I know you died to save me from eternal death, and that you rose again. Lord, I give my life over to you. Forgive me of my sins and create in me a clean heart."
Then start your walk. Remember, first you have to crawl, then walk, then run. We all continue to mess up!
The heart of a Christian is to become less and less likely to make the wrong decision.

Mav not sure if something is on your heart, or if you are just curious, but she is glad to share.

Dear Pangel, I wouldlike to take a moment and bring you through the good person test. The BIble says Gods ten Commandments are the standard that will be used to Judge you on the day of Judgement. lets look at a few to see How you will do............

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and the BIble says "he who hats his brothe is a murderer." have you ever hated someone? if you have said yes to these questions, you have broken five of the Ten Commandments and there are five more we havent even mentioned. bearing in Mind that Nothing you’ve ever done is hid from His holy eyes. Will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? Listen to your conscience. You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He provided a way for you and I to be forgiven.
He sent His Son to take our punishment: "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus then rose from the dead and defeated death.
Your own so-called “goodness” can’t get you into heaven any more than mine could. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He is the "Door," the only "mediator." There is salvation in no other name, and If you will repent (turn from sin) and place your faith and trust in Jesus as Lord and savior, God will forgive you of all sins past present and futer and grant you the gift of eternal life. Please, Dont wait, Repent and turn from your sins and trust in Jesus today.
God Bless

It's just receving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and allowing Him to take lead of your life so that you can be like Him to please God! You have to say the sinners prayer, but that's not enough, you have to keep to your word about it! It is the best thing ever! It offers you a place with God the Father forever and ever amen! It also means that you shed the darkness that was scarring your soul, thus being called 'born-again'!

Just ask? If you are truly sincere, just ask God to forgive you of all your sins and accept that Jesus Christ is the true Son of God. If you do this with all your heart you will be saved. But after taking that big step, you must take the responsibility of being a child of God. Start reading your Bible, find a Bible believing church to attend, and don't forget to communicate (pray) to God in the Savior's (Jesus) name. Praying to our Lord to guide you in your life will keep you on the right path. God Bless.

Pangel, I am sorry to have to tell you but I do not think that you can be saved until you come to a true conviction of your sins and of your need.

Since this comes from God, it is a work of God, you cannot just "choose" to be saved. You cannot do it by yourself. If it is God who saves you, you cannot "switch" Him on, nor manipulate Him.

This rather leaves you in a miserable position. Notice I am not necessarily saying that you feel miserable but rather that your state is one of misery, being that you are under the judgement of God and will go to judgment unless God saves you before.

This is true for every single one of us.

What hope is there then ?

Faith is given by God, so is repentance. You are dead spiritually, dead to God, until He gives you life. Your fellow man cannot help you. Nothing you can do will appease God or purchase favour from Him.

You will hear people tell you that all you have to do is pray a prayer or maybe admit your sins and God has to save you. Is this really how we can use the Almighty, perfect in wisdom and power ?

No, see what God says. He has told us. You cannot mock God.

Until you have revelation, until he quickens you to life, all is lost. It is not called the pearl of great price for nothing. The way to life is not called straight, and the gate narrow and few there be that find it, for nothing.

The only thing that I can think that you can do is to seek God, but that appears to be something that you are not bothered to do, from the comments you have made. We are exhorted to seek and to ask and to knock. God tells us he is not willing that any should be lost and that he takes no delight in the judgment of a sinner. He promises to the one who seeks and continues to seek, that they will find.

If you seek with all your heart - but how can you do that, given your present state of mind?

Christ said that, no man can come to me except the Father which has sent me draw him.... And, All that the Father gives me shall come to me and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.

I don't think anyone can really tell you the process of "getting saved." I think you will have to find out for yourself if you are stirred to.

Please read Romans chapter 10 verse 9. Some people think you have to do some big elaborate thing, but I think that salvation is as close as your bended knee. The Bible said go into your closet and pray and I will reward you openly. Just tell God that you except him as your Lord and Savior. He'll do the rest. GOD bless you honey.
