I saw this tip on Tyra: Before you go to sleep slather on some Vaseline, then take two old tube socks with the foot part cut off and pull them over your elbows. When you wake up your elbows will nice and soft, and if you want you can then use a pumice stone to remove the old dead skin which should now come off fairly easy.

All elbows are dry, there are no oil ducts closeby. You have to remove the dry skin first, lotions won't recover them.
I use a big emery board (for nails), some will suggest other things, but this works best for me. Your skin will tell you when you've removed the dead skin (ouch). Then use baby oil on those elbows. In a short time, they will be pink again :-)

Does your elbow have the appearance of toad-like skin and they are dry? Or do you have white patches around the elbow?
Simple dryness of the skin around the elbow could be treated with Liquid Paraffin but if you have white patches or rough skin around the elbows, then it needs to looked into. I wouldnt hazard a guess!

Use some hydrocortisone on them before aplying a moisturizer. Make sure the soap you are using is not too drying. Do not use soap w/ deoderants or heavy scents. Use a really heavy mositurizer such as eucerin or aquaphor.

You referred to your "chicks". I read that about 5 times before I got it......................You mean cheeks..............No, it is not vitamins. Use a good lotion daily on your entire body. I prefer Vaseline Intensive care. Everyone dries out in the winter. It comes from the dry conditions in our homes and work places. It doesn't hurt to add extra vitamin C and B this time of year to prevent colds, flu etc. DON'T USE the lotion on your lips or eyes. There are special products for those places...............
