I had that and tried all the different earwax removers. Even after a week of doing it i still couldn't hear anything so in the end i had to go to the doctors and get it syringed. But i know some doctors don't do it any more which is a pain because of how rubbish the ear wax removers are. All i can say is keep trying. The removers do soften the wax up which helps when coming to get it syringed.
And oh my god when it finally came out it was a massive lump of wax and it was so nice to be able to hear again.

I have used olive oil on mums ears which is good but I now use olive oil with garlic infused together which works even better. The glass bottle of olive and garlic oil you can pick up in Asda/Tescos supermarket etc., where they keep the cooking oils.
Mum is 81 years old by the way.
I warm a small amount of the oil in a small container placed in a bowl of hot water and allow to stand for abour 5 minutes.
Check that the temperature of the oil is not too hot just warm and place about 20mls of oil into a dropper.
Place a towel over your shoulder to catch any surplice oil or spillage and save your clothes.
Ask another person preferably to help you if this is possible.
Tilt your head over to one side as far as you can within reason. Ask the other person to slowly squeeze the oil into your ear about 20mls is sufficient for each one. Keep your head in that position for at least 5 minutes or longer is good then repeat the same on the other ear.
Repeat this process daily for approximately 14days. Do not use ear buds to clean or poke into the ear. I know a friend who did this and particles of the cotton wool came off and hardened with the oil and wax it turned like concrete this was an extremely dangerous and painfull situation which needed immediate medical assistance at the A & E.
I have known individuals who have had their ears syngered by a GP and had their inner drum damaged by the process.
Be careful you only get one pair of ears.

you can put warm water and peroxide together and let a little run in your ear. wait a minute then turn your ear over and it should all run out this well loosen the wax and should come out with the mixture. If this does not work go see your doctor. Good Luck

have you tried the sterile sea water which you squirt in your ear. I have found it very useful, very soothing too. It's available at the chemists but you may have to ask for it. There is more than 1 supplier so the trade names will differ.

Try warming a teaspoon of olive oil and pouring it into the affected ear.
Do this everyday for a week. If it doesn't clear it, make an appointment with the Doc to have your ear syringed

olive oil is what the doctor often recomends. I worked in a health food shop for 5 yrs. So many people came in with this complaint, and it was always olive oil that worked the best.

Mineral oil works the best. It will dissolve the wax.

It should never get to that point. Once you get your ears cleared out by a professional ear plumber, use Q-Tips (cotton swabs on a stick) to clean your ears out after every bath / shower.
