Thanks for a sober question.Christianity, like Judaism and Islam are mid-east religions. The followers of the 3 religions have continued to be there and in Egypt;learning religion in continuing generation from father to son to his son and so on.Pl.give honour to Arab Christians who read the Bible only in Arabic--a language close to the vocabulary of mylord Jesus. In Arabic Bible,Allah appears in the very first line, twice in the second line, then for THOUSANDS of time subsequently. The word GOD is not there, mylord Jesus did not speak English. The word Elohim is also there(Arabic accent:Ilahi). Allah has innumerable names(I have collected over 1200); 99 of the innumerable names, if enncompassed assures a higher spiritual state. Ilahi is one of the glorious Names OF ALLAH.No Muslim text has ever mentioned a moongod's name to be so. I wonder at the source. So, for Christians,Jews and Muslims of Arab lands, the only glorious Name is ALLAH. This name had preexisted the time of the holy Prophet Muhammad, as the Quraan attests. In Makkah,Allah was considered to be the LordGod of all the lordgods--therefore a Statute of Allah was never made by pagan Arabs, and has never been made ever since. The name Allah has no gender-- It has no plural;unlike god-gods-goddesses. Allah is not the only Name-Word, as explained, the Glorious Names are yet innumerable. 99 of those may suffice for higher attainment spiritually. The devotees keep on collecting more and more, beyond 99. My own count exceeds 1200. In my nonArab Muslim Asian country, my fellow Christians use several of Allah's Names, in Arabic format. And the name ALLAH too. A Christian priest was named Khair Allah, another Barkat Allah... I request the Christian friends in the West also to honour the Name:Allah and be in solidarity with non-European Christians and Jews.. also with Muslims.

To Catholic Christians, Latin is a magical language. To Jews, the Hebrew language is a gift from God. To Arabs, Arabic is magic. Many of the classical languages of humans have such long histories, reaching so far back in time that their origins become untraceable and these languages become the subjects of mythology among those who know the language.
Many of us would like to be of the delusion that we can know God's personal name and thereby command the attention and affections of God as though we thought that God was as easy to command as a trained dog. Many of us are unaware of the true nature of God, whose actual name is no human-produced word at all.
Nor will God be commanded to sit, stay, roll over or beg, regardless of what you might think you know about God. Use your words and let others use their words, Brother.

Being well versed in 3 foreign languages Arabic is one of them. Allah = God. They have no others. God is God. The 99 names you are referring to is not names but references to Allah. Allah acaqbah = God is great. etc....

Well we are trying to explain the things to you and if you come to the real meaning that ALLAH doesn't mean GOD.
GOD correspond to another name called ArRub; which every religion and pagans use to describe the Creator of the universe but ALLAH is the name for GOD that has to be woe shipped him self ONLY.

Your other comment is useless and not something strange from you Jew, you have done worse than that, you have killed prophets and you were the one manipulated Bible.
So, no wounder.

Allah is the One True God. There is no God besides God.
If the Jews say only Elohim is God; if the Hindus say only Brahma is God; if the Zoroastrians say only Mazda is God; you are proclaiming the existence of many Gods. Or if the denial among you is valid then there is no God at all!
What is the use of burrying ourselves in such prejudices? Why don't we start learning to remove our immense ignorance? Yes, educated people, please!

It's just the same as saying 'Dios' means God, but it could not necessarily mean it's the true God! I don't believe allah is the same as the G-d of Israel! Don't you think?

No human can actually know Gods name . We can refer to to Him , but to dare to say that we are aware of His Name is ludicrous.
