but why does " X " mean ' kiss ' you know when you send a text and put an X on the end?

X for kiss and O for hug have been arounf for more than 100 years. the orign will be interesting to find out.

Not sure when it started, but it pre-dates the web. "X" means "kiss" and "O" means "hug". As in the country song lyric: "She ties her hair up in ribbons and bows, signs her letters with x's and o's."
