Your problem is benign, and your hair will fully recover soon.
Hairloss, or Alopecia, can be due to a disorder of the hair follicle in which the scalp skin looks normal(non-scarring alopecia) or due to a disorder within the scalp skin that causes permanent loss of the follicle( scarring or cicatricial alopecia). This latter form causes shiny atrophic bald areas in the scalp which are devoid of follicular openings. There are many causes of alopecia:
Your most probable cause: 1)Telogen effluvium: refers to the pattern of diffuse hair loss that occurs some three months after pregnancy or a severe illness or a stressful condition. It occurs because the stressful condition stops new hair forming that occurs in the Anagen phase and leaves the hair with the Telogen phase that is the phase with hair death and loss. Treatment is not necessary, just remove the stress and everything comes back to normal. But you have to be patient, because new hair follicles must form, this takes around 2-3 months for full recovery.
2)Androgenic alopecia: Most common cause, nonscarring, depends on genetic factors.
3)Alopecia areata: immune mediated, related to other immune diseases.
4)Dissecting cellulitis: chronic disease, mostly in black males. Presents with papules and pustules.
In Summary, I think your problem is Telogen effluvium, a benign problem, that occurs due to a stressful condition, and resolved by removing the stressful condition itself.

I can't believe you said Pantene Hair Fall Control. I was talking with someone about losing a lot of hair when I was in the bathroom the other day. I use to use the same thing you do, but it was getting worse. Every time I drained the tub or cleaned the shower I noticed blond hair was everywhere. She ask me what did I shampoo my hair with and I said Pantene shampoo and conditioner, plus their full line of products. She said that was my problem....She read in a magazine and read similar things were happening to a lot of people that used these products. So I went and bought Reggis hair care products for my type of hair. I have noticed a big difference in my hair too. Its taken a long time but its getting better by the day. Also I was in the hospital last year and the medicine and being put to sleep for a operation can make your hair fall out too. Mine did. So yours may be a combination of both. Thank goodness we're not going bald. You can take what I said with a grain of salt if you want too, I just wanted to share with you, my experience.

Hot oil treatments just coat the hair. Pantene is crap, try Aussie or Tresemme. You poor thing, it is probably the medication or maybe the stress on your body.
Take a beauty day, go to a beauty school.. have a scalp treatment done they usually come with a nice long massage of the scalp which should relax you. A flexible scalp is a happy scalp.
I hope things get better.
Im glad you recovered!

Try this:
1.Massage the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes after bathing with water. This stimulates the blood circulation and strengthens the hair follicles in the scalp.
2.Massage the scalp and hair with coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel. Leave it for ½ hour, then rinse with warm water. Repeat 3 times a week
3.Massage into the scalp and hair honey with egg yolk. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then rinse.
4.Massage almond oil on scalp 2-3 times a day, daily. This will stop further hair loss.
5.Rinse hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help hair grow.

There are 100s reasons for hair fall. Hormonal imbalance particularly thyroid, may be the root cause get it check at first. Male sex hormone testasterone is also a known culprit in uprooting the hair follicles. Moreover prolonged malnutrition, bad food habits, irregular in attending nature's call, tension etc add to the problem. Another hitherto little knwon reason is that contaminated veg. food items etc with a variety of metal and organic pesticides also have very severe effect not only on our health also on hair density. Hope you will understand and be able to sort out your problem.

20-30 hairs on your pillow is not bad you lose over a hundred a day, but if your noticing clumps out of your hair or are just worried in general talk to you doctor he may want you to take an iron supplement or vitamins. keep in mind though it also depends on how long your hair is also the longer the hair the more that will fall out.

First, check with your doctor/pharmacist to see if hair loss is a possible side affect of your medication.
Second, switch to a silk/silk like pillowcase. Other fabrics like cotton and synthetics can cause hair breakage, and damage to your hair.
Third, it might just be a natural shedding stage for your hair. You seem to be taking great care of your hair. If in a few weeks your still worried visit a Dermatologist.
