Get a semi permanent hair color with ash in it.

These other ladies are right when they tell you to use an ash. If you get your hair done in a salon, ask your hair dresser to use a "drabber" in the color and that will tone down the red highlights. If you do your own hair, then buy the "drabber" from your beauty supply store. You have to consider that maybe your hair only looks ginger in a picture, kinda like when the picture shows "red eyes". Take a mirror and under bright light see if your hair still looks ginger. It may just be in pictures. Good luck and God be with you.

Color correction.
An ash brown would turn it neutral brown but then it might end up looking muddy and you may miss your ginger.

You Brits and your gingerphobia... you guys crack me up. I'll never understand the bizarre irrational fear of red hair over there.

Dye it a shade labelled "ash" if it bothers you so much. Ash cancels red.

My hairs the same way. I love it though, all my friends are so jealous. It's because of red highlights I have natrually.
