Not really, if it is really too close I may move or stand. If on a bus or airplane your stuck then I would suffer it out. But yes it makes me uncomfortable.

That was one of my biggest pet peeves when I rode the bus. I absolutely hate, hate people invading my space. I really really do. It does make me feel very uncomfortable, I tried to put my arms in and keep legs closed but some people have no conception of personal space it is human nature that we require space. At least arms length. The only thing that I can say is try to be cool. Try to "go" somewhere else. If they become to invasive a give them a little shove so they know that they are bothering me usually people will re-adjust themselves.

No, I can't say that I do. Everyone has a comfort zone. When it comes to strangers getting too close for my comfort, I move away as soon as possible.

I do not mind it... If the seat is there then I will not worry about it. It was designed for all of the seats to be utilized closely.
Now if the person is extremely large and overlapping then I may feel uncomfortable.

no, i dont like strangers sitting close to me. i value my personal space that's why i don't commute as much as possible-- i usually bring my own car. in public places where i go to, i sit in single-person chairs, not on benches, or i might simply wait standing up.
in planes, i usually sit by the window and mind my own business, making sure i don't disturb others. or i might sit on the aisle seat if it's a long haul and i need to pee most of the time. i dont like disturbing others and i dont like being disturbed unnecessarily.

No! It drives me crazy when people do that. Most of us have what we call a personal sense of space in which we like people to keep their distance. When people invade that space unnecessarily, it creates an awkward sense of discomfort.

It's not perfect but if it's on a packed train or bus then you can't really complain.
