Once you have been saved( accepted Jesus as your personal savior) you can't loose it,God will never give up on you. However your fellowship with God can change. When we say we loose our faith we are at fault but God is there 100% waiting for us to turn back to fellowship with him. Our faith is a growing process, some times we are strong and some times we are weak. Don't worry , the fact that you want more faith says that you haven't lost it. The best way I increase my faith is get involved more at church or visit some one that is stronger than myself. Everyone is different.

Friend this is a very touchy question. In reality A person can only be saved ONCE, Just like the natural birth it is so also with the spiritual birth, Now you ask if you were saved before & lost your faith can you need to be saved again, Think of it this way, Maybe you never had the new Birth in the first place but only the motions of a Christian, Once we are seal with the Holy Ghost we are sealed Until our day of redemption & not until we back-slide, So Friend If you wa once living for God & you went back to the world, That shows that you never reach that place in your spiritual walk with God to be sealed into the Kingdom of God, therefore just ask God to forgive you & walk with God Until he seals you with that Promise of eternal life.

If you were truly saved, you would not have lost your faith. Only persons who aren't saved to begin with (but think they are), lose their faith.

Let me sum it up, once saved all ways saved but you can back slide which is turning away from the grace God has given us. Now back sliding is not an immediate process it happens over time. Now to set yourself right again if you back slide you must rededicate your life(which is giving up you will for God's and repenting from every last sin you have done).

No because many eventually realize that there was never anything to be saved from.
God loved us enough to create us just the way that we are. If we are good enough for God just the way He created us then any one who sees us as needing to be fixed is simply confused.
Love and blessings Don

Nobody who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and had God's Holy Spirit within them, have ever given up their salvation.
Those who think they have, or who claim they have, are lying, for God does not make mistakes. Giving His Holy Spirit to someone who has not truly committed their life to God, is a mistake, and He does not make mistakes.
For you who claim you were formerly a Christian, you are only fooling yourself, because you never gave yourself to God in the name of Jesus.

1. Are you sure you were saved in the first place. Paul says "examine yourself to see if you be in the faith." There are many people who are deceived and think they are saved when they are not.
Matthew 7:22 "MANY will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' These people were doing miracles and casting out demons etc, but were deceived.
2. If you are saved you are given eternal life and you will never perish. John 10:28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. So if you are sure you were saved, you still are. and you do not need to be resaved, but reafirm your faith in Christ, submit to His Lordship and continue to walk with Him.
James 4:6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE." 7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

There is no such thing as "once saved; always saved. At Matt. 24:13, it says: "He that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved."
