True wisdom is to directly see and understand for ourselves. At this level then, wisdom is to keep an open mind rather than being closed-minded, listening to other points of view rather than being bigoted; to carefully examine facts that contradict our beliefs, rather than burying our heads in the sand; to be objective rather than prejudiced and partisan; to take time about forming our opinions and beliefs rather than just accepting the first or most emotional thing that is offered to us; and to always be ready to change our beliefs when facts that contradict them are presented to us. A person who does this is certainly wise and is certain to eventually arrive at true understanding.

If you are Christian
A very kind pastor of a church once said to me, read the book of Proverbs from the bible. There are 31 proverbs, one for everyday. Reading and then contemplate upon the essence of the words.... will bring forth blossoming of Wisdom bestowed by the Most Divine God..
If you are Buddhist or Buddhist Friendly
You should recite the mantra of Lord Manjushri the deity of Supreme Wisdom to the Buddhists. As time progresses, Wisdom Energy will illuminate from your heart and mind.

There is material wisdom and there is spiritual wisdom. Since you don't mention, you must want both. Spiritual wisdom is always more important that material wisdom. This is very important thing to know.
Wisdom seems to be organizing knowledge in different ways. Determining spiritual over material knowledge is first concern.
Be with God and His devotees and that will help you to be wise. That is wise thing to do.

wisdom and knowledge are available from school, your own experiences, experiences of others, sharing and discussing thoughts and ideas with others. once a person has some wisdom and knowledge they can start teaching others so mankind can benefit by the wisdom and knowledge not being lost. the majority of people here are ready, willing and able to share if one is willing to listen and learn.

All children are born with great wisdom.
You have always had it. It is just covered up with all of the misconceptions and beliefs you have been given by well meaning souls who have tried to help you along the way.
Get rid of the nonsense that you have been taught and you will once again see the world with a child's eye just as God intended.
There is a book that's sole purpose is to help free you from the misconceptions that are creating all of the problems in your life. It is called the course in miracles.
It works.
Love and blessings Don

Wisdom is attained by opening your mind to all points of view, through reading the works of wise people, by contemplating your own sense of truth and having the courage to be who you are.

Good point. After a long life spent searching I can tell you this: you cannot give and receive simultaneously. Get first, then give.
