Someone did the calculations on this and figured out that Noah would have had to load 30 species a second on to the ark for almost 20 years. 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Bet he slept good when he was done doing that.

PS. The bible said that the flood killed every living thing. Does this mean that Noah had to have fish tanks on the ark so the fish would not drown in the flood.

Look at all the places that have been flooded in modern history. Floods are a fact of life and can occur just about anywhere. In ancient times where the understanding of the world was much less a devastating flood on a regional level is going to be seen as much broader. So it probably has some basis, and perhaps someone had a refuge on a larger boat or barge, with perhaps some farm animals, but over the centuries it go greatly exaggerated.

Many different peoples, tribes, etc. have a similar remembrance. Maybe because they are all descended from Noah?

Middle East people believe the Flood happened.

Hopi Indians (of Arizona) have a similar belief. "The Hopi believe that the Creator grew so vexed with irreverent people that He drowned the world. Only a few people escaped through a hole in the top of the world to emerge into this world -- near the Grand Canyon. They searched everywhere for a good place to live before coming back to the desert. They discovered that in the wet, easy places they neglected their prayers. Only the caprice of rain and the view to the horizon enabled them to stick to the prayers that have so far deterred the exasperated Creator from destroying this world as well".

Of course, Hopi didn't write down their history nearly as early as the Hebrews did ... and the Hebrew Scriptures are believed to be inspired writings. So there can be differences; but also a common thread of a world-destroying flood.

Well since there is no possible way it could have been done I would have to say no. It is of course possible that it's a dramatized version of a real event however,in fact there are several cultures which have stories similar in nature, not exact of course. In fact I would bet that if you dug deeply enough you could find a tale of some mythic flood in almost every culture, because it's likely that almost every culture has experienced a flood dramatic enough in proportion to end up being blown up over time to an almost apocolyptic event. This is simply the middle east version where one man supposedly was the savior of enough to recreate the society, where in real life if a huge event happened it was probably just a bad enough event that many people died, with large segments of the society destroyed and when the story went through several generations and finally was committed to writing the myth of Noahs Ark was born. And who knows maybe the person himself really existed but a world wide flood with only him and a few others as survivors along with the animals,I think not.

yes, believe the flood occurred. however, also think that the flood referred to was a localized one which flooded only the part of the world known to those who reported it rather than one flood covering the entire earth at the same time. Noah probably saved the animals which we known in the local area and like many stories the tellers of the tale kept embellishing it until we have the story we are familiar with.

sure it extremely is real. a million. The evidence is interior the fossils that the place led to by utilising the flood, interior the reality that each and each way of existence has recorded this experience at approximately the comparable date in time, interior the reality that mountains incorporate fossils of marine existence on their summits, and the record can circulate on. approximately the place the water got here from the Bible is amazingly show. the ambience of the earth substitute into saturated with vapors of water. This reason everywhere in the earth a tropical climate without choose for for rain. The Bible says that in the past the flood it did no longer rain on earth. Noah has positioned 2 of each species that should no longer stay on the flood. (bugs eggs could have survived, and marine existence additionally). plant life additionally can stay on the flood. Animals likely entered a state equivalent to hibernation on the boat and that they did no longer consume something. 3. certainly in the past the flood the earth substitute into composed of one huge continent with 2 populations of individuals (descendants of Seth and Cain). in the past the flood we see the two traces mixed and individuals substitute into wicked working in direction of magic, astrology, homicide, cannibalism and each form of evil deed. because of the fact those human beings could be only machines. without loose will there is not any benefit to the human for doing something stable. because of the fact the finished planet substitute into laid low with human sins. God is likewise only and punishing the wicked. Seeing only the merciful side of God is a mistake. So Noah's ark isn't pretend.

I believe it not because of direct evidence of Noah's story but because I find the Bible to be a book of divine revelation based on other evidence (personal, scientific, archaeological, etc)

I do know that statistically it is possible to populate the earth from the small population of Noah's family in only a few thousand years, and that the dynamic capabilities of organic life to diversely populate the earth from the ark do exist.

I believe that the Bible in it's entirety is the inspired word of God so there is no reason to doubt, also many believe in Jesus even though they are not Christian such as Gandhi and Jesus was mention in secular writings such as from Josephus the Jewish historian I believe. Jesus himself mentioned the flood of Noah's day and he viewed what happened from heaven, so why doubt what Jesus said had happened. (nobody) have you even read the account of the flood? Genesis 6:19,20 And the waters overwhelmed the earth so greatly that all the tall mountains that were under the whole heavens camed to be covered. Up to fifteen cubits the waters overwhelmed them and the mountains became covered. If the mountains in one part of the earth were covered by fifteen cubits of water then the entire earth would have been covered, example, if a mountain was two miles tall above sea level than anything less than two miles above sea level anywhere on earth would have to be covered water always flows to the lowest areas first then rises from there, so if the tallest mountains were overwhelmed by fifteen cubits of water then anything less than that in the entire earth would have to be covered first. Simple logic. Of course there are stories of a world flood in every culture, because all cultures on earth came from Noah's family, they would have taken the story with them into all the earth, telling their children and grand-children and so on but in time the story would have changed some, it did not matter if it changed some in each culture as God had the account as it happened written down in the Holy Scriptures where all would be able to read it in time.

yes I believe this to be true, there is evidence in the ancient Sumerian writings that describe this Biblical flood, it must be remembered that this flood only affected the middle east and not the whole world, Jews frequently describe the whole world as that area that belong to Judaism, and the Romans also did this too.
scientists have discovered that the black sea indeed flooded because of torrential and continuous rainfall over a long period.
