Each oven is different you know! But I assume you've got an oven tray or two? And a microwave glass/ceramic tray?

Basically, these ovens are usually pretty similar to normal ovens / microwaves. You wouldn't put a microwave glass tray in a normal oven, so you take it out when you use your appliance as an oven or grill! You wouldn't use a metal oven tray in the microwave either.

Without being able to see your oven, I'll assume that you know HOW to select the temperature ... so you need to find a recipe for pizza, tandoori, cakes, etc., and it will tell you the ideal temperature to select.

MY oven has a menu, with selections for microwave-ing root veg, non-root veg, cakes, hamburg steaks, etc., but most of the time I just follow recipes. Because mine is a Japanese oven, it also has a setting for microwave-reheating cooked rice!

My oven is really useful, a great space-saver, and it makes great cakes!! We've cooked tandoori chicken too, and various roasts, lasagnes, gratins, pizzas, etc.

Did you buy yours second hand? I'm only wondering because you don't seem to know the instructions...!

Anyway, you'll use the normal utensils that are suitable for the setting you're using. For microwave-ing, you'll need microwave safe plastic or ceramic ware. Don't put metallic things in. For the oven, use the oven tray provided. If it's smooth - looks almost painted (I think it's called 'enamelled',) - then use metal, plastic, or wooden utensils. If it's got a non-stick coating, use only plastic or wooden utensils. If it's a metal tray, use any utensils. Same goes for cleaning off burnt on bits - you can use all sorts of metallic scratching and scraping cleaning products on the metal or enamelled trays, but you have to be more careful with the non-stick.

Have you tried searching on-line for an instruction manual? A lot of them ARE available to download, but it's not always easy to find them.
