I just got a ticket an hour ago for expired tags here in tennessee at a sobriety check point(road block). They where the most unorganized bunch of idiots I have ever seen... First an officer said "oOo we hat a tag...", then another officer said to pull behind a car(the only car) and when I did he said "not behind that car now your blocking traffic!"(trying to make it out that I was the dumb one) so I said "well which car do you want me to park behind???" next I had 4 officers come to my car seperatly and ask for my drivers licence and registration. The first asked and I handed him my drivers licence and searched for my registration, the second came and asked for it all again, and I said someone already took my licence but heres my registration. then he asked who took it, and I said I have no idea(they where all wearing orange vests. so he said ok thats not a problem....

Then two more people came and asked, and 15 minutes later another officer came back with my ticket, asked me to si

Then two more people came and asked, and 15 minutes later another officer came back with my ticket, asked me to sign without explaining what the ticket was for. then tried to explain what I did, when he discovered that the officer that actually wrote the ticket wrote that my court date is in 2003... 2003???? wow.

and also the officer is supposed to write the amount of the fine on the back of the ticket and check weather I can mail it in or if I have to be in court he checked neither....Im going to call and complain.

Finally after all this mess I have a court date in March of next year. thats five months... they must be writing a lot of tickets to fill up 5 months worth of court dates.

What do you think?

Correction - whether

Actually I think the court cost is removed if your ticket is thrown out here. I am not a dumb person I work very hard and very long hours at my job, and just didnt get around to getting new tags. I am also starting college and am very stressed over this, last night I was mad(and tired) that I got stoped and was held for 20+ minutes at 12am when we where all ready to go home and get to sleep. and actually this car is not even mine its my grandmothers, I realize that im supposed to do a check before I drive anyones car but geesh it would take 30 mins to check every single thing. I explained this to the officer and he said there was nothing he could do.

In tennessee we have to go through emmisions every year.

Tennessee huh?
Why the expired tags ?
I bet your tags are way cheaper than mine are in Cali.
And I have to get my car smogged every 2 years to prove that I am up to Cali emisssions standards.
And I bet the ticket is even cheaper there.
This state is sucking me dry, what's your excuse?

Disorganized yes. Sorry you got a ticket. You should be lucky that they didn't shoot you.
Expired tags.... your registration was updated but you didn't put your tags on??? If so maybe you could have told them you haven't put them on yet. If your registration was expired, be happy they didn't tow your car away.

No, you are able to't get arrested for no longer paying a rushing fee tag. You get arrested for the warrant issued by using the choose on your arrest for no longer appearing in court. no longer paying the fee tag isn't the explanation. FTA Failure to look is the explanation. You signed the fee tag meaning which you promised to look. You cope with the courts now. in case you flow to the law enforcement officials now, they'll arrest you. you will no longer in undemanding terms be waiting to pay the fee tag. You lost your hazard for that. The superb in all hazard doubled now and you may desire to stand the FTA. that is in comparison to coping with instructors. that's the actual ingredient.

In the end, the only fact that matters is that your tags were expired.
Cant do that bro. Had you taken care of bidness, none of this **** would have happened. Would it now.

i am not really sure what your complain is all about ?
if you had an expired tag ? i am sorry but the fine is correct ?
all else that happened? i did not understand the commotion ?
your tag is expired ? please just pay the fine ,you are in the wrong ,therefore do not make waves and pay the fine
it will cost you more to fight it .sorry ........

Judge will throw it out, if he has more brains than the cops! You'll probably get hit with court cost's though!

It is actually OK for a cop to be stupid once in a while. Citizens have been getting away with it FOREVER! You're the idiot that didn't renew license tabs!

I think you got hosed.

And it is NOT whether, it is weather. They are supposed to make a note of the "weather" conditions.

Sure there seems to have been some troubles, however all I want to say is that it is spelled "whether", not "weather". Sorry, but I'm a bit of an asshole for spelling.
