My ex and I broke up over a year ago. We've kept in contact here and there. He had a serious drug problem before, that had a lot to do why we broke up. He went to prison about 6 months ago and has been calling me on a regular basis. About a month ago they moved him to work release. Ever since he's been there he has come to see me everyday after work. He is very affectionate with me and says that he may want to work things out but he has a lot of thinking to do. When he first left me when I would see him he didn't want me to touch him and now he even kisses me goodbye all the time and even holds my hand. He was with someone else before he got locked up, but she doesn't help him, except his phone calls or anything. What should I do? Everything seems to be almost back to normal with me and him.

I would also like to add that he has several places to go when he gets out, so i know he's not using me for an address. He hasn't asked me for anything.

Look inside your heart... trust your feelings. You know him better than we do. The prison experience can with many men change them for the better. He has had many, many months to reflect.
And he has had to endure the countless stories of others during this time.
But be very cautious.. and think "long term".
This is not an easy decision.
Good luck. I hope things work out great for you.

It is always good to give another chance to love but in this case don`t make any sudden moves because love is blind, you know!
If he had a drug problem and you broke up for a serious reason then it is very very difficult for things to come back to normal again...
I would be more causious and think about many things before starting again with him if I was you!

he realized he had a good thing and messed it up.. Now he wants that good thing back... but... the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.. Are you sure you want to go through this again, He is recovering and you are a thing of his dark past (not that you are bad) but you might pull him backwards.. Id say you are better and deserve better and move forwards and forget him. Allow him to heal on his own.. If he gets well, good for him, but not with you in his life... goodluck!

That's good. give him another chance. Maybe after his drug problem and prison time he knows your importance.

Of course he is all over you now - who else would have him with his history?
Just remember why he is your ex and whether you want more of the same.
