Figures vary but around 400,000 these include dogs just running up to people and barking to death. It is not broke down by why the attacks happened. This also includes dogs that attacked in the line of duty, police and detiction dogs. I know that the figures of attacks and deaths change with every study that is done. Bottom line dogs are dogs and they will bite, from the smallest to the gaints they are what nature made them hunters.

My point was people cry that some breeds need to be killed off. It is not true all breeds will bite love the kind you have trun in bad owners that makes the streets dangerous because of the way they handle thier dogs and stop trying to take the right away to own a breed of dog becasue some jacka$$ made the one he owned mean.

So...what's your point? That you're a dog hater? I'll never agree with you on that. I have run into very few truly vicious dogs and most of those are owned by vicious, crazy people. Your dog is what you make it to be. To each his own....

dont forget MOST attacks are made by pet dogs on family members and are often not reported to the media much less anyone else...
typically most attacks happen because dogs were not socialized properly (as is the case with smaller breeds who are often babied and become agressive if they encounter a new unfamilair situation... or are provoked by a kid)
