...then why not come to church and find out for yourself? There are friendly Christian congregations almost everywhere!

Church is about worshipping God, not judging other people. No one is perfect; no one is any "better" than anyone else. But by God's awesome love and Jesus' resurrection, anyone can be forgiven and healed.

A church fellowship is also about building strong communities, connecting with neighbors, and making new friends. In addition to the usual Sunday-morning worship, most churches offer extra worship services, Bible-study groups, community service, volunteer opportunities, outreach programs and other activities throughout the week.

If you think church isn't for you, remember--peace, joy, freedom, happiness, fulfillment, and eternal life are rare jewels. To gain the real treasure we must go where it can be found, and seek it with persistence and patience.

Won't you join us this Sunday?

Marble in the Oatmeal, and Ashley Forrest, I wish you found my question more engaging. But since you both chose to read it and respond, the fact is that my question is neither spamming nor "pressing my religion" on others. I respect others' viewpoints, and I wouldn't deliberately do either of those things.
God bless you.

(If you think church isn't for you, remember--peace, joy, freedom, happiness, fulfillment, and eternal life are rare jewels. To gain the real treasure we must go where it can be found, and seek it with persistence and patience.)

Don't you think this comes to you with the gift of the Holy Spirit? (Persistance and patience) is also an attribute of God in you, and not necessarly in a building.
I do agree that there is much better opportunity to keep in check when you are in fellowship with other believers. I also feel that needs can be met a lot easier if people know who you are.
I think to be completely truthful, is the most important to the human that is without God. The truth is that God living in your body with you is the church and that fellowship can only comfirm the relationship that is established by a personal acceptance of Jesus as Lord.
If you have ever worked in a production job on an assembley line that you learn that an assembly can be one nut and one bolt. God says, "where ever two or more are together in my name, I am in your midst." It is not necessary to be part of a mega church, but it is an asset to be part of an assembly that has truth and the Word in it. I think that if you are daily operating in the anointing, then the Spirit of God will lead you into a fellowship that can be benificial to you and to them. It is about an atmosphere that is condusive to learning, even though The Teacher is with you always.

Can't join because I'm already a member. You invitation sounds inviting. Kinda wish I were an athiest so I could accept. In these times, doing the Lord's work and enjoying his riches should be done "so much the more"

God Bless

Its funny how some of these people are always asking why Christians believe and how stupid Christians are for believing, but when they are given an opportunity to find out something first hand they always refuse to be opened minded? And yet they say they are opened minded. I have seen very, very few open minded non-Christians on this site. I pray that one day they will find what is missing in their lives.

would you all-holy christians stop pressing your religion on us? I don't give a crap if you want to believe in something so ridiculous, but stop trying to make me buy into it! This is so frustrating! You can be as nice as you want about it, but the fact remains that you are disrespecting those who don't believe.
