Hi Sylvestor

Here are some ideas to healp your healing process. You can cure yourself, but it does take some effort. #8 is the most important. You must detoxify your body of toxins with a cleansing program (colon and liver especially).

Quick Action Plan for Diabetes

1. Be aware for early signs of blood sugar problems. Have the proper yearly tests performed.

2. Keep in mind that the goal of diabetic treatment and self-care is to restore blood sugar levels close to normal and to correct related metabolic disorders. One of the best ways to accomplish this is by eating small, frequent meals throughout the day that emphasize fresh, organic foods that are low on the glycemic scale, such as raw and lightly steamed vegetables, low sugar whole fruits, nuts, seeds, whole grains and legumes, yams, wild fish, poultry, lean cuts of beef, bison meal lamb or veal.

3. Minimize or eliminate your intake of simple carbohydrates and all sugars, as well as tobacco and processed "junk foods." In addition, reduce your intake of alcohol and caffeine. Both alcohol and caffeine could be enjoyed on special occasions, rather than daily or even weekly habits.

4. Remain hydrated; drinking adequate quantities of pure water is essential for all aspects of your health.

5. Engage in regular light exercise and stress reduction because they are keys to maintaining lower levels of blood sugar.

6. Consider supplementing with nutrients such as B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, chromium, magnesium, potassium, essential fatty acids, CoQ10, alpha lipoic acid, and vanadium. Stabilized rice bran supplements can also be helpful.

7. Herbs such as astragalus, bitter melon, fenugreek, garlic, ginseng, Gymnema sylvestre, and huerque can also provide significant benefits.

8. If you have already developed Type I or Type II diabetes, combine the above self-care natural cures with professional care from a holistically oriented physician or other alternative health care practitioner. Particularly useful professional care therapies for treating and preventing diabetes include chelation therapy, food allergy testing, parasite testing and if necessary, cleansing, oxygen therapy, and professional dietary and nutritional counseling. Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine can also be helpful.

9. Prevention, if you are pre-disposed and managing a diabetic condition, is a life-long commitment. By committing to the guidelines above, you can significantly improve your symptoms, and, if you suffer from Type II diabetes, quite possibly reverse them altogether. Implementing diet and lifestyle changes can help improve your energy levels, and your confidence in your ability to experience greater health.

Best of health to you

Cheers

Sorry but no. If the person is a type I diabetic, they will need insulin all their life, or at least until a cure is found - exercise and diet alone will not help it. With Type II diabetes, it can be controlled with diet and exericse, but sometimes the person may have to take pills or even insulin. A cure for diabetes has not been found, but is hopefully around the corner. I hope so, mny son has had diabetes since he was 10 months (he is 7 now). Poor guy gets 4 shots a day!

type 2 diabetes can go into remission. my mom has been in remission for 2 years now. you must eat at the same time each day, take meds at the same time. stick to a low carb diet. our doc is also diabetic, and has 13 patients in remission. he uses lantus insulin in combination with avandia or actos. the oral meds help the beta cells to regrow, while the insulin keeps the blood glucose levels down. it's a bit more difficult if one is insulin resistant like i am. but it can still go into remission. btw, he also is treating 3 type 2's who are not overweight. he claims there are 2 viruses that have been isolated, that can cause diabetes.
**addendum** type 2 diabetes is not always caused by being overweight and poor eating habits...it can be hereditary like mine is...i am native american...we have the highest rate of type1 and 2 diabetes in the nation. many, many more ppl who are not overweight are being diagnosed with type 2...as i stated before. i can't even tell you how many grossly overweight ppl i know who do not have diabetes. there are so many ppl in the medical profession who don't understand type 2 diabetes, and give out misinformation...i know what i'm talking about, as i have nearly been comatose twice due to misinformation. and it absolutely can go into remission. my mom takes absolutely no medications now for a little over 2 years. at one time, her blood sugars were over 900. and being on insulin does not mean your pancreas doesn't produce insulin (i'm talking type 2) it can mean that your cell receptors are not allowing the insulin in to do it's work, therefore, sugar is flowing through the blood stream like a free radical.

Dear Bro.. Islam made PIG haram because there would be scarcity of pigs for your consumption. Its a balance. Allah said, I did not create anything in this universe wirhout effective reason. You see, at last found cure of diabetes from PIG. Did you ever think what are the reason to create mosquito? I am thinking on it. In the meantime research should go on to find the cure diabetes. Its for HUMANITY.

Sorry to say but once a person is put on insulin that means that their pancreas has stopped producing insulin alltogether & hence means that "No" there is no way to cure it....ofter type 2 diabetes is brought on by poor eating habits & excessive weight so by changing you eating habits & losing weight it can often be reversed but not w insulin dependant diabetics sorry

I'm sorry I don't really have an answer but I am curious too. I have been told I have diabetes and cholesterol but the doc is giving me a few mths to change my diet. But I wondered that too? I'm guessing it can't be cured, but under control and mayb not have to use the meds. (i hope)

I search for a diabetic cure for type one but to no surprise to me there is no cure. Sorry I knew there wasn't but I wanted to research before I told you. It would be a different story if you had type two. They are searching for a cure but haven't found one yet.
