I have a cold and my throat is very sore, and I also have chest congestion and I just spit a sample of blood. Is there anything abnormal about it?

Yes, you may have pneumonia or bronchitis. You should get a chest x-ray. Blood in the spit(sputum) is not normal if its coming from the lungs and not from your mouth.

Spitting up a tiny bit of blood is nothing to be concerned about. It may be caused by coughing hard and popping a tiny blood vessel. If you continue to cough up blood
this would be cause to be concerned. Your symptoms
however, sound like you could possible have pneumonia.

I do suggest you see a doctor.

If you are spitting up some blood, it could be bronchitis. I would definitely get checked

Go see a doctor just in case. It may be something serious.
