Yes I agree. Some people don't like to eat meat because of the way some animals are treated to get to our dinner plates. Which I totally understand, but I look at it this way....if a cow was at the top of the food chain and thought that we were "good eats"...I'm sure the cow wouldn't hesitate to eat us. It is a combination of survival of the fittest. Although some company do treat animals cruelly, I don't think they should deny their body essential nutrients, but instead look for a company (perhaps organic) that kill humanly.
Everything in moderation!

no, it's not stupid. I don't believe in god, and i am vegetarian. I do it because i think the whole 'Oh, gopd put it there' is just a bullshit reason. The whole 'kill an animal to survive' has been completely bastardized. we barely use any of the animals, and all that meat is processed until it's barely meat.

And no, a fruit or vegetable isn't the same. They do not have brains, free will, and the ability to communicate and express emotion.

Research things before you make ASSumptions, and you won't look like a jerk and an idiot.

I'm not saying everyone should be vegetarin, but don't knock til you try it. And who are you to say what is stupid? is it affecting you if people are vegetarian? No. If anything, there's more meat for you.

This is by far the dumbest thing I've read today. Animals have FLESH..just like you. Are you saying people should be eaten too because they are made of meat? Animals were put on this earth to be eaten?? When was the last time you ate a panda or a elephant?

animals were put here so we could take care of them...they have their own lives to live....we are smarter than them, but it doesn't mean we are supposed to torture, kill, eat, and wear them. it is only because it is so common that this can go by us as something normal. I wouldn't go around preaching "BE A VEGAN!!!", but if you actually take the time to learn enough info it just comes down to whether or not you accept the information. It's a choice to be vegan, of course, and because of my faith I believe that my choice is the right one, but I will find out for sure someday...so, no, I don't belive it's stupid at all...

No actually, I don't agree and I would have loved to have been there with you when "God" told you personally that he made the animals out of meat, and put them here so that you could eat them.....oops...possibly he forgot to tell you that you are also made of meat so therefore he put you on Earth so that someone could come along and eat you too....

Back in Eden God's original PLAN was for us to eat "Every green thing... Every Herb of the field...Genesis 1 and 2 Nothing died unitl after they sinned and God had to make them clothes. It was NEVER God's intention for us to eat meat. He allows us to eat CLEAN meats because after the flood there might not have been enough vegitation to eat for a little while.

Plants are not sentient ie they do not think or feel pain. God did not put animals on Earth for us to eat he meant for us to co exist with them. He meant us to milk cows and eat eggs and use Sheep's wool. Humans are 'made from meat with meat inside of them too' so does that make Canibalism ok???

I think not!

Fruits and Veggies dont feel the horrible pain while they are being picked in the field. They are not molested, tortured thrown against the wall, kicked like footballs, they don't get there necks slit and body parts choped off while they are still alive.

Animals are our friends, they are not here to be tortured murdered then eatten.

Peace?

Do you agree its stupid because God put humans on earth for us to kill each other and if he didn't want us killing each other then he wouldn't have made weapons then. And who cares because every living thing dies, even animals and plants (and even whole species-extinction).

Everything is all relative to your perception of the world.

Many people are vegetarians because it's a lower fat diet and therefore healthier. Also, you feel better and your skin looks better. There are too many artificial hormones injected into American animals that are raised for food. Being a vegetarian is NOT stupid, it's a lifestyle choice.

Well there is meat inside us. Did god make us so we can eat each other?

I'm not a vegetarian, but you have to respect other people's beliefs.
