I am on a strict diet and I want to ensure my baby is getting enough nutrients.

I also have gestational diabetes. Eggs are a great source of protein but you need to watch the fat and cholesterol content. I've been getting by on Egg Beaters, it's an egg substitute with no cholesterol.

Nuts are also good for protein but don't eat an overabundance of nuts (meaning large quantities several times a day) because I was told that your baby could actually develop an allergy to nuts if you overdo it.

I know it is tough, believe me, but remember that it goes away after you have the baby! Good luck!

You are probably getting enough protein already.

well besides meat, tofu and nuts are a good souce of protein. id suggest fish.. but its not very good while pregnant because of the mercury in it. contact your doctor

nuts, beans, eggs.. thats wat veg. eat -- also look for vitamins
