It is your moral responsibility to inform them. If confrontation makes you uncomfortable, perhaps, you can do it anonymously through the Health Department.

You will see that most people here will be angry and tell you to confront and accuse and act "morally responsible" Your first responsibility is to make sure your facts are straight. If she is positive she will be in the state records system somewhere. The best way to get her partners notified and stop her dead in her tracks without getting the neighborhood into a lynch mob is to call your local ASO ( aids service ogranization) Every area has one, it will be listed in the phone books or you can find out from the health department. Phone them and let them know that this person______, you believe is a client of theirs and you need to leave a message for her case worker if she is a client of the names of the people she has put at risk. Give the receptionist your name and the names off all the people she has slept with. From there GO TO SLEEP. IF she is infected it will catch up with her, if she is not you have just saved yourself a huge law suit. And.... if she does not have it, you have not ruined her life...

Let's see if I have this right. You're wondering about playing dominoes with peoples lives. She sleeps with your friend, who sleeps with a mutual friend of yours, who sleeps with someone she meets, who sleeps with with an old flame of yours, who talks you into a "for old time's sake"! Sound about right?
It isn't just who she sleeps with, it's a crowded room, all the people she sleeps with, who they sleep with, etc. When you lose a relative or good friend to AIDS, & you find out you could have stopped it long ago, HOW WILL YOU FEEL?
Health department - call them & give them the names you know of. She's not worth the cost of a funeral if she's doing this knowingly. She's got to know that it can circle back & take out "friends". In the battle of her vs everyone else, I just can't understand your reluctance.
Excuse the Tude, but in a "ME or YOU" situation, you have to understand it as it is. If you don't pick "ME", to protect yourself, who's going to protect you? Send her away, do your part to keep the city clean, get some trash off the street.

I understand that is really hard especially if it is a friend, but you need to report this!!! What happens if she sleeps with someone in your circle of friends that you don't know about and then he doesn't know he has it and gives it to you or another friend. This is not just an std or a curable thing. AIDS and HIV are death sentences!!! What an irresponsible person!!!!

This is a felony in many states, punishable by jail time. The person should be turned in to the proper authorities. Check out the source listed below, it has some good information.

IF TALKING TO HER ISN'T WORKING THEN MAYBE SOME THREATS WILL .LIKE GOING TO HER DOCTOR, REPORTING HER TO THE HEALTH DEPT AND POLICE DEPT ( FOR PREMEDITATED MURDER ) OR IF ALL ELSE FAILS LIKE THE ONE PERSON SAID TELL THE PEOPLE YOURSELF OR ANONYMOUSLY. PEOPLE THINK JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE KNOWINGLY PASSED IT TO THEM THAT IT'S ALRIGHT TO DO THE SAME. I THINK ALL THE STATES NEED TO PASS THAT LAW OF IF YOU KNOWINGLY PASS AIDS OR HIV TO AN UNSUSPECTING VICTIM, THEN YOU SHOULD KNOWINGLY PASS GO WITHOUT COLLECTING $200 AND GO TO JAIL WITHOUT BAIL AND BE SENTENCED TO SO HARD TIME. MY BEST FRIEND SUCCOMBED TO AIDS BUT SHE TOLD EVERY MAN THAT TRIED TO HOLLER OR LOOK AT HER THAT SHE WAS ON FIRE AND THAT IF THEY WANTED TO LIVE THEN THEY DIDN'T WANT HER,SOME SAID THAT'S WHAT RUBBERS ARE FOR AND OTHERS SAID, " THEY'LL JUST SAY NO". BUT I KNOW SHE PASSED AWAY WITH A CLEAN CONSCIENCE FOR NOT SPREADING WHAT WAS SO FREELY GIVEN TO HER. BUT THEN THERE'S MY EX BESTFRIEND AND FAMILY THAT, JUST LET'S THEIR FAMILY MEMBER PASS IT AROUND LIKE IT'S A RAFFLE GOING ON. I TOLD THEM THAT THEY ARE ALL GOING TO HELL, FASTER THAN EXPECTED IF ONE OF THEM DUDES FIND OUT AND CATCH UP WITH THAT ENTIRE FAMILY. I ALWAYS HEARD THAT SILENCE CAN BE DEADLY.

sit them down and explain to them that they could be KILLING their partners by transfering AIDS without them knowing. also, try and get the phone numbers and names of the people who the person has slept with, and tell them to go to a clinic as soon as possible.

you shouldnt even have to ask this question. if she is doing this, then she wants to give it to other people. their is so much information about aids out there. it sounds like she knows what she is doing, and will keep doing it until someone stops her.you do what you know in your heart you should do, and do it now .

you could be tried for 2nd degree manslaughter if you knowingly allow it to continue and someone gets sick with it. i would be surprised that someone could even hold that in their concious knowing someone was doing something like that to innocent lives. you need to contact a doctor or counselor and let them know.. this is a SERIOUS matter!!!
