Cheese-Filled Mushrooms
1 1/2 pounds white mushrooms
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup mayonnaise
Crumbled cooked bacon, to taste (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a large cookie sheet; set aside. (If desired, line cookie sheet with aluminum foil to save on cleanup.) Wash mushrooms thoroughly; dry and remove stems, hollowing out a hole where the stem was attached to the mushroom. Set aside. Mix together cheeses, mayonnaise and bacon (if using). Pack the center of each mushroom with a mound of the cheese mixture. Arrange mushrooms on cookie sheet. Bake until cheese is browned and mushrooms are shiny, about 20 minutes. Mushrooms may be stuffed and refrigerated ahead of time, then baked as needed.
Tomato-Mozarella Bites
20 grape or cherry tomatoes, halved
20 fresh basil leaves
20 small balls fresh mozzarella cheese (often labeled bocconcini)
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
20 toothpicks
Using a toothpick, spear a half of a tomato, a piece of basil, a mozzarella ball, and another half of a tomato. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Place on a serving dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix the vinegar and oil together in a small bowl to serve as a dipping sauce.
Cocktail Meatballs
1 bag cooked, frozen meatballs
1 16 oz. can Jellied Cranberry sauce
1 12 oz. bottle chili sauce
2 TBLSP dark brown sugar
1 TBLSP lemon juice
Combine all ingredients in crockpot, cook 2-3 hours until cooked through and serve.

I'm having the same dilemma. Decided on Tapenade with Crostini. You can find many recipes for the Tapenade on the internet. Also: Baked Artichoke and Jalapeno Cheese Spread 1 8-oz pkg cream cheese (room temp_ 1/3 cup mayo 12 oz can of artichoke hearts, diced (not marinaded) 1/4 cup minced red bell pepper A couple of jalapeno, minced (that's up to you and if you can handle the heat) 1/2 cup grated Parmesan 1/3 cup Panko Water Wafers Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray 9-inch pan with cooking spray. In medium bowl, stir together cream cheese and mayo. Stir in artichokes, bell pepper and jalapeno. Add in all cheese except 1 tbsp. Stir into artichoke mixture. Spread cheese mixture evenly in bottom of pie plate. Sprinkle evenly with Panko and leftover 1 tbsp Parmesan Bake about 20 minutes or just untili top is lightly golden. Serve with crackers. This spread is so good ppl always ask for the recipe. Nice. Pear slices with creamy blue cheese wrapped in proscuitto. Carmelized Chili Shrimp Or a good Spinach dip with Triscuit. They're all good and easy to make.

Make a "pinecone" cheeseball. Use any recipe to make a typical cheeseball and then chill it a bit so that you can manipulate it. Spray your hands with a little Pam and form the ball into the shape of a pinecone. Use pecan halves or almonds to form the part of the pinecone that pokes out (I don't know what they are called). If you put it on a plate with some crusty bread or fancy crackers and a few long springs of rosemary (which looks and smells "piney") your family will think that you slaved for them!

Little smokies in a sauce of half grape jelly and half chili sauce, in the crockpot (these are fantastic!)
Tortillas spread with soft onion/chive cream cheese, layered with thin slices hard salami. Roll up, chill, and slice into 1" pinwheels.
Chicken wings in a half water, half soysauce, in oven or crockpot. Another delicious one!
