I have a heart murmur but the doc said it might have closed but it wasn't big to begin with should i get it checked out by a doc first or just get it anyways

That's a good question! What a smart girl you are for considering your health first before running out and doing it. There are a lot of things to consider before getting a tattoo. People don't realize that diseases can be spread if the person giving you the tattoo doesn't use sterile technique. People have been known to get hepatitis from getting a tattoo. I think it would be a good idea to make an appointment with the doc to find out if that murmur is gone (if the hole that caused it has closed). It's a good idea for you to know that anyway because you should be getting antibiotics before getting dental treatment, right? Good luck!

My step-son has had a heart murmur in the past and he has 2 tattoos. No problems at all.

There is no reason whatsoever why a heart murmur should keep you from getting a piercing or tattoo.

Who,why, what would any one want a tatoo?? I think God gave everyone a good body in their on way why screw it up with a tatoo?
