SINNER....I know that...but they don't. We just proved how easily one can form a wrong impression...things are not always as they appear.

There are a few people who are only here to be mean.

There are lots of people here who genuinely want to share their beliefs.

There are a couple like myself who like to play devil's advocate for both sides.

The icon sometimes reflects who they are, but I can't tell male/female, like Spooky male picture - female person.
When an Atheist or religion is part of the name they choose I have to hope they are that. Atheist Eye Candy is an example.
Some thinkers have no pic or name to help me, Some like WSIDR and Darwin always make you think.
I have a two page list that is really worthless, because I think some people have 3 or more personnalities! LOL!
I really enjoy the insulting questions, except they get removed by the system - because it's so sensitive?
I thought sticks and stone... - but words can never hurt me applied in America - but not in Yahoo Q&A - LOL!
Most have good questions that you must think about to get a thumbs up, from others. I don't get many, but it is nice to get a few. I even get a best answer - rarely. HA.
Everyone is following their path, some know each other, and some by their religion stick together, that's fair.
I look at the back log of prior Q&A and 360 to learn about the person asking the question, if there is any. Some newbies are interesting - anyone meet Despair? A 14 whose father is Satan! So much energy and passion in life! I get tired just reading her questions - so amazing. I have no passion like that - must be nice being young today in 2006! There are a lot of level 6 and 7 people - but they rarely ASK, they ANSWER others questions.

Do you consider your mental picture of these people to be accurate? -- NO, not at all.
I hope I was kind,
Peace.

Some are very sincere as well as non-judgmental. Others are fanatical and rigid. Others can't seem to grasp the fact that not everybody sees things the same way. They truly confound me. This is a great big world and there is room for everybody. I treasure the diversity in both the believers and non believers. There are plenty of people on here who are very loving. I think I have a good mental picture of the people. You have a great day!

there are some thinking atheists I like, and somecutsey southern gal with a cowboy hat who asks wierd questions who seems fun, some very sincere christians who just spread the love, one of whom seems to have been trolled out of here.

There is this r neck jack a that bothers me imensely, Funny thing I seem to like the ones who others persecute in one way or another and I find that kind of interesting. There was this SARA who asked I thought good questions who got suspeded. "Fist in the air" has a tenacious spirit I like that.

There are a few weak sticks I have offended but that is common for me.

There is you who I find very interesting. Would like to see results from an MMPI on you.

Did not say I had one or made one just would like to see the results if there were one. I have conjections about everyone and though the test is not 100% reliable still it tells some interesting things some times, so to match conjections and results would for me be fun.

I have all that is needed to take and interpret if you are actually interested.

There are a whole LOT of people here who are abysmally ignorant not only about the religions of others, but about their own.

There are a whole LOT of people here who express their (willfull) ignorance by asking "baiting" or insulting questions.

Mav is way cool!!!!! I'd break bread with Mav anytime; I'd even cook.

Anyone who has "hate" in their online name is an waste of DNA.

Most of the Pagans I've met here are not, thank Goddess, the IRAB type (I read a Book!) and know at least the basics of their religion.

There are a handful of folks here who are unbiased in their abuse reporting, and that gives me hope - chicky, you're one of them, but there are others. I'm pleased that there are SOME people here who report others based on behavior, without caring what religion the offender follows. Bravi!

Also, I'd happily spend time with Muslimah - she is one of the folks here who asks open-ended, non-prejudicial questions...in other words, she's not here with an axe to grind. Kudos to you!

That's all I've got right now, I'm fairly new.

Some are honestly asking and aswering questions as a means to communicate with others who have differing opinions.

Some use the forum for their own agenda.

Some just are plain mean - they know who they are. They try to get a rise out of others by posting things like "Kill all ______" (you fill in the blank.

Some use it to be silly - I'm guessing it's funny to them to post really incomprehensible questions or questions that are just weird statements.

Some use it to try and shock others.

I try to ignore those that are confrontational or mean. I hardly ever give a thumbs down. I have reported only two - and they were making direct threats.

"Ignorants" really comes to my mind, a lot of plain stupid questions, oh and one must be careful when voicing their opinions, a good lot of them can not handle the truth, so one gets reported quite regularly. Freedom of an opinion is not an option on yahoo answers or any where for that matter.

Yes Mav has formed opinions. Some she's been correct and some she has been wrong.

Mav found most people are wonderful and caring.

For the most part they don't really want answers. They want someone who will agree with their preconceived notions.

It is as though they are seeking support for their particular version or vision of reality.

I include myself in this by the way.

It's the nature of the beast.

Love and blessings Don

some are fine trying to obtain wisdom and knowledge while there are others who belittle those who are trying to help because of certain bias they have against people, Religions, Organizations or other reasons
