I think it should be up to the individual to salt them. There are some people who can't have salt, but like the fries.

I disagree only because the salt sticks best to foods that are just out of the fryer, so by the time you are served the fries, putting salt on them won't be as effective. That's why you see most of the salt you sprinkled on at the table in the bottom of your fry box. This goes for any foods that are freshly cooked, seasonings will adhere much better if added the moment cooking is finished.

Well, I suppose the majority of pple like it that way but it does suck for pple who don't like that much salt or don't need it for health reasons (I know, don't need to be going to McDonald's either) but just really want some fries from there! My husband asks for his unsalted & it makes a big difference for him. That is, if they end up doing it. The 2 McDonald's we go to mess up our orders all the time. But even unsalted fries still have salt on them & then they give you packs of salt in your bag most of the time! Some pple love salt though, I've seen pple suck it through a straw, just plain ole salt. So anyway, you're probably right.

Yes, I do. The McDonald's we have here where I live
seems to take the top off the salt shaker when I get an
order of fries. People with high blood pressure like my
husband can't eat foods this way.

There is a "just right" amount for fries, but if the salt doesn't go on when they are hot, the salt won't stick. Unsalted fries don't work either. Yeah, they need to lighten up but not stop altogether.

yes, i think that would be a great idea, and also if they learned the concept of unsalted fries, my mom had a heart condition, so i would order unsalted fries at fast-food, their concept of them was to not add salt, yet dump them in a salty bin, and scoop them with a salty scooper, i got to where i would return them, listen to their explanation that they were unsalted, then ask them, what the heck are all these white granulers on it then? its amazing how much salt just that adds, hopefully they will take your suggestion, at atleast offer both kinds

IMHO, I like their fries better than Burger King, Wendy's or Hardee's, but I have noticed that their fries sometimes are a little too salty, not always, but from time to time..

Salted is fine, but not too much.
Needs to go on lightly when they're fresh out so it sticks properly.
If you want unsalted tell them, you might have to wait a bit but you'll also get ones fresh out the fryer.
