Waterford is definetely the best...

Anyway there really is no one Dublin accent at all- it depends from where in Dublin you are from.
I mean, could you ever relate a Dublin 4 accent to Ballymun?

The Cork accent is a good one for telling jokes in. It's sing-song and gets u laughing. But a sad story - how would that sound? Dublin accent is best, it's neither up nor down.

The Cork accent is tough to understand all right but easy compared to the Kerry tongue - now that isn't English at all.
Old Dublin accent or Louth accent, all pretty horrible.
Meath has the bogman accent though there is plenty of money in the County to compensate.
I'm with you - many accents in Ireland are tough to like.
What about the Bertie accent? He's our leader! Maybe speaking like dat should be compulsory!

Just learn to be more tolerant, as we Cork people are, life's too short for being annoyed at other peoples accents, unless they're from Waterford ;-))

i moved to cork a few years ago from scotland and the cork accent is definelty one you need to tune your ears into. it annoys me that they say 'like' at the end of every sentence. and the taxi drivers i'm sure speak another language ... with a cork accent like
