I have a feeling that I might have Genital Herpes, but I'm not sure. I have these little bumps around my vagina, and they hurt and go away. But they'll leave scars and come back. I'm really scared and crying. Please help me.

Are the "bumps" fluid filled (blisters) or solid? How long does it take for them to go away? What other things are you experiencing (does your groin hurt? do you have a vaginal discharge? If so, what color/consistency?) I agree with the other members advice that you need to go see your OBGYN and refrain from sexual contact until a diagnosis has been determined. If you have contracted herpes, although it is not cureable, it is certainly not the end of your sex life, you just have to be careful when you do have sex (use condoms, no sex when you are experiencing an outbreak) and good communication between you and your partner. One-third of the American population has some type of herpes infection (either genital or oral) although many do not experience any symptoms, only an ELISA (a type of diagnosic test) can determine if you have been infected if you have no symptoms. Because this test is extremely expensive most folks have no idea if they are infected. When you are having symptoms it is important to go see your doctor or nurse practitioner to prevent infection to others.
Educate yourself about herpes and rest assure that you can have a natural childbirth, it is not a fatal disease, and be thankful that it is not HIV.

FIRST...GO TO THE OBGYN. THIS COULD BE A RASH, OR AS YOU FEAR SOMETHING ELSE. DO NOT HAVE INTERCOURSE WITH ANYONE IN ANY FORM TO REFRAIN FROM SPREADING ANYTHING. GETTING TESTED IS SCARY BUT IT COULD TURN OUT TO BE NOTHING AS WELL SO TAKE THE CHANCE AND BE SAFE!

I do not know if you have this or not and you'll only know when you've seen a Dr. and you are told by the Dr. that you do. Please go see a Dr. Otherwise I don't know much about how to detect STDs. I know that clusters of blisters can be herpies, skin tags can be HPV and discharge can be Claumidia. I know you don't want to hear this right now, but I hope you practice safer sex in the future. Our lives are not worth a few minutes of sex. Nothing is that good. Sorry to hear you are dealing with this.

If you've had unprotected sex this is possible, so don't sleep with anybody else till you go to the doctor. OBGYN I believe...you know which kind I mean :) To give you a little bit of temporary ease, I've read up on everything there is to read on herpes and they don't typically leave scarring. They are also more like little blister clusters as opposed to bumps. So don't freak out ok? Just breathe and get to the doc ASAP so you do know what it is.

GO SEE A GYNECOLOGIST!!!! Also, refrain from having sex until you do see a GYN!! Herpes is highly contagious and can be treated although not cured! A person can receive oral herpes from performing oral sex on someone with an outbreak, so do not let anyone perform oral sex on you either! I feel for you hun!! It's tough going to the GYN especially when your having problems, but to prevent spreading this you need to see a doctor. You also need tell all your partners that you have had in the past to get checked!

Go to see your doctor. If the bumps are visible they should be able to tell by looking at them. There is also a blood test to tell wether your infected or not. Crying isn't going to help. There are medication you can take to help control the outbreaks. Its not the end of the world Millions of people live with herpes every day. You may not even have it, go get checked. You may be worring for nothing.

Please go to the doctor and get your situatuin checked out because you really don't want it to go any further untreated if it is a STD. I'll pray that you don't have any thing. Take care of yourself. If it gets worst you can go to the emergancy room and they will probably give you antibotics for it if its that bad.

Herpes is a definite possibility, but you need to be diagnosed by an MD. Don't have sex with anyone until you get checked out so as to reduce the risk of spreading something.

go see your ob/gyn. it sounds like you have something, but you won't know for sure unless you have a doctor confirm it. Don't have sex at all until you know for sure. condoms don't protect against herpes and genital warts. Because they can be anywhere, guys can have outbreaks on there testicles which can make contact with your area, and boom you will catch it.. I would see your gyno asap. If you state the urgency they will get you in quicker

If you are embarrased to see your regular doctor go to a free clinic - some cities have clinics for just STDs and anonymous HIV tests
