when your blood sugar levels are not in good control you will not feel well. its doesnt matter if they are HI or LOW. you need for them to stay in balance at all times. the only way to achieve this goal is the check you blood sugar level at least 4 times daily and write them down on a chart or in your blood sugar guide chart. this way you can visually see a pattern of HI's and LOW's. then you can act at once if they start of get out of control. its also a good idea to keep track of extra activities that you will engage in during the day and rainey days where there wasnt much activity during the day. this will help you to see if you have explained HI's or LOW'S or if you just need an insulin adjustment. this will also help your dr. to determine the right steps in taking better care of you diabetes also.

I have been a type one diabetic for 13 years. THis happens a lot and the best thing to do is test a lot. AT LEAST 4 times a day. (the drs usually say 6-10) and also not only pay attention to one symtpm. Headaches, nausea, and frequent urination are also signs of high. Usually u lose emotional control when ur extremely low (at least i do) :D

I'm just guessing, but I'm wondering if you're experiencing what we type 2s experience... insulin resistance. You might be able to even things out by following Patrick Quillin's "The Diabetes Improvement Program". I mention a few highlights on my diabetes info webpage:

The same thing happens to me if I hit 126 (7mmol/L), but if you pay attention it's a slighty different feeling from being low. It can get confusing, so monitor your sugars just in case.
