No, if you were having an HIV test you would know it, because they make you sign consent and read you a bunch of crap first!

More likely he was making sure your liver was OK before giving you a drug that can not be taken by people with liver problems, or something along those lines.

But since this is in the STD section, I'm a little confused...if it were a test for an std and came back negative why would you need a prescription?

Next time, dont be afraid to ask questions, and you can still call his office and speak to the nurse!

depends. usually you'll get a bill from the company that does the blood tests and that'll have detailed info on it. but the doctor should tell you. if you were sick, then he probably checked you for mono and other cold like things. if it was a check up, then he probably tested you for STDs and typical screenings like cholesteral.

Sounds to me like it meant that you don't have an infection...Your white blood count is normal. They do not chek for HIV or Hep. unless you request it.

DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF BLOOD WORK HE HAS RAN. THEY CHECK SPECIFIC THINGS IN BLOOD WORK. JUST ASK TO SEE WHAT HE HAS CHECKED AND WHAT THE RESULTS ARE. YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO GET A COPY OF THIS.
