The problem is, the data isn't conclusive. While there are people who have died from lung cancer who never smoked, there are also people who work around smokers all the time (in a bar for example) who are perfectly healthy. So, the question is - were these non-smokers exposed to something else and/or simply, unfortunately, susceptable to developing cancer (because it ran in the family, for example)?

Cigarette smoke in general promotes death. It is a plague, and is now reasonable for more Human deaths on this planet than any other plague except maybe old age. So I believe that is proof.

But even if it wasn't, all plagues promote death and suffering to some degree, both mentally and physically to there victims.

Psychology and physics can prove this, but then it would be lot harder for most people to make money. And since people just seem to love money so much, your not going to hear a lot about it unless they can sue businesses for more money.

The good news is that people can still obtain greater happiness as they become stronger and more independent. Especially by avoiding psychological death.
Focus completely on avoiding plagues as much as possible.

Think of all the perishes knowledge you might gain that the world will still be trying to prove and explain for generations. I don't think that wisdom can come from plagues directly, only confusion.

So become a little wiser and happier by staying away from second hand smoke or you will be sorry.

i'm sure there is some empirical evidence to support it. in most cases, i doubt 2-hand smoke would cause cancer. but in a few cases of intense exposure, you have to believe it would
