Weight gain is a common side effect of some anti-diabetic drugs. These are mainly the sulphonlyureas group of drugs eg. Tolbutamide, Glibenclamide, Glicalzide. They make ur body produce more insulin and this makes u hungry...u tend to eat more...and here comes that weight gain. What medication r u taking? U may wanna consult your dr about other drug alternatives such as metformin, acarbose or rosiglitazones. They are highly effective and does not cause this weight gain problem.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I take Avandia, and one of the possible side affects is weight gain. In the beginning I was able to lose weight, but now, after 4 yrs, I find it much more difficult. I am still careful about what I eat- counting carbs and calories, but it's a battle. You are correct though- most doctors push their type 2 patients to lose weight, and it's proven that it does help lower blood sugar levels, but the med can make it almost impossible to do that!!

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes.
And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you.

You are correct. It's just so unfair.
Talk to your doctor and discuss this. Explain that meds that make you gain weight are not acceptable and try something else.
Good luck.
