Bitter Melon (Latin name: Momordica Charantia)
Bitter Melon, also known as Bitter Gourd, has been traditionally used to regulate blood sugar levels within the normal limits as it promotes utilization of Glucose. It contains Gurmarin, a polypeptide considered to be similar to bovine insulin, which has been shown in experimentalstudies to achieve a positive sugar regulating effect by suppressing the neural response to sweet taste stimuli. Bitter Melon is a natural source of Vitamin C and has also been reported to show hypocholesteroemic activity.

bitter gourd is useful in lowering the blood sugar level. It do not produce any cross reaction with any type of insulin being taken by patient. It is even safer for the patient who already taken other hypoglycemic drugs.
Essentially the polypeptide-p acts on the pancreas, rejuvinates it and activates the dead insulin producing beta cell in the islet of pancreas. It also increases the healthy regeneration of beta cells and hence increases the secretion of insulin from pancreas.
It has no side effects. It is totally natural drug.
