I'd eat robata yaki, teppan yaki, suki yaki, sunomono, sushi, sashimi, udon, soba, hot or cold, oden, agedashi, etc. I think Japanese food are appetizing to the eyes and palates. It is healthier, fresh, using less saturated fat. In Jakarta, Indonesia, Japanese food are as common as local food, people can find the cheap one up to the most expensive. We have Japanese food in fast food counter, sushi bar and fussion restaurant.

In America we have Japanese restaurants in practically every city. My friends and I go out for sushi every couple of weeks. There is one place that has a sushi lunch buffet. Much of the sushi they have is fried because many Americans won't eat raw fish.

I live in Japan - but I won't insult you by telling you about all the Japanese foods I eat NOW..!!
Instead, I'll tell you about the Japanese foods I prepare when I'm in my home country, England.
There's not a lot of specialised Japanese foods available, but many things can be made with shoyu, rice vinegar, miso paste, konbu, nori, and medium grain rice - I can buy noodles in Tesco, (not egg noodles though, they're awful!) I can easily make okonomi-yaki or yaki-soba, or my favourite, modern-yaki!! If I could find abura-age I'd make inari-zushi, and a donburi would be easy enough to make, as would nigiri, suki-yaki, mizu-daki, or the traditional Japanese breakfast of fish, rice, miso etc (although I normally eat it for lunch, it's too MUCH for breakfast)..!
It's not difficult to find curry blocks in an Oriental food store, so I'd eat that quite a bit..! Most of the noodle soups available where I used to live were Korean, but I think they had a few Japanese ramen varieties, and I could make something myself if necessary and just add the noodles..!
Of course, one of my favourites is tenpura - and I can make that anywhere!
Oh yes, I eat it because it's delicious!! But there are very few genuine 'Japanese' restaurants in the UK, they're mostly run by Koreans, but the REAL reason they're not 'genuine' is because they can't get suitable, sashimi-grade fish!!
If we go back there, we'll have to buy a table-top hot-plate ... hot-plate yaki-niku is VERY nice, and VERY convenient..!!
Cutting the meat thinly enough for okonomi-yaki / suki-yaki, etc is difficult, but I can ALMOST manage it..!!
