my niece has this done regular due to a hole in the heart. take a gameboy etc an try to stay calm, good luck.

This is what I would do seriously and by I, I mean Me. I would learn how to do the robot. Seriously. I mean no offense by this but Thats is how I've always got over serious operations. Once I had a cast on my right leg and on my left arm, I fell out of a tree and I dressed and acted like I was a pirate for the six weeks I was in them. everybody hated me afterward but I had fun with it so poop on them.

lol I did that today, i found it quite funny and laughed while they were monitoring me cuz it was all matrix style.
If what you mean by helping time pass in the doctors, just talk to the nurse or anyone around u and make fun of them for whatever reason they came in (unless its some serious stuff like cancer..etc)
at least thats what I did =]

read, do homework, listen to music, talk with friends, go out for lunch, play games, play cards, watch TV, do you nails, give your mom a pedicure .... the list goes on and on ... The monitor is really no big deal. If you want sad, visit the pediatric ward with little kids with cancer.

im wearing a holtor monitor right now because my heart skips too..so i know how you feel. i get nervous that its going to catch something bad so then my heart pounds and then i get nervous that its pounding and it just a bad cycle...im trying not to think about it but its hard but you can pretty much do all the things you normally do just try not to think about it and relax.

you could take bboks or magazines or listen to music. Take someone with you and chat. knit or crochure. Take sudoku puzzles. (Print them off the internet.) Do crossword puzzles. Write Christmas cards. Write Christmas list.
