There is no contest ------- it must be pie, mash and liqueur, and those people that say you can get pie and mash anywhere are talking out of their rear-end. Made on the premises in the East End of London Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Why is London 120 miles away I want some!

Haggis only if I've a Glenfidich to wash it down with. Pie and Mash in London otherwise. But I like Scotland better.

Pie and mash in London because Haggis is way too hard to catch...
Bet you think I'm stoopid now...
But Haggis hunting is hard.
Personal experience tells us the the haggis has 2 legs shorter than the others so that it can run around hills better than us.

Has to be haggis and neeps (turnip to you southerners) but is not common in the shops so you have to look hard for it. It has become a traditional meal to commemorate Robert Burns birthday so it will be served for centuries to come. As for Pie & Mash, this is just a common, every-day quick fix for hunger pangs.

Can't stand eels and I'm not a huge fan of pie and mash either. The two best P&M shops that I know of are in Walthamstow Market and there's one at Upton Park (if you come out of West Ham football club, turn left and then left at the traffic lights, it's along there). It's a food (and business) that seems to be dying out as it's more popular amongst the older generation.

G'day
Pie and mash whether in London, Scotland or elsewhere.
As haggis consists of sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately an hour, it is an acquired taste.

Got to be haggis but you have to remember to remove it's tartan bonnet before you cook it,if you don't it spoils the flavour! Also it keeps the numbers of Haggi down,if we didn't do this we would have no lucky heather left because they would eat it all!!!
