no Dennis - you can NOT, without hospital or medical supervision. Your sugars would drop to a very low level, very quickly. You need to take some form of carbos (toast) and some intake of sugar to avoid a severe drop in levels. Whilst the sugar may "feed" the bowel symptoms; its not possible for a diabtic just to stop eating like that. Keep Dioralyte in the house (its a potassium based sachet)- it will help settle the symptoms quickly and prevent dehydration.

I wouln't because you could suffer from very low blood sugar, from not eating, and possibly even go into a coma. They have diabetic shakes, which may be easier on your stomach than food, but I wouldn't fast for that long- see your doctor.

one of complications of diabetes is autonomic enteropathy which means the diabetic will have diarrhea due to hyper activity of the nerves supplying the intestine
in this case boiled water has nothing to treat the condition
i would recommend that you see your doc and control your diabetes

its probably not wise as the blood sugar needs to be regulated, a simple snack every few hours, boiled eggs, toast, soup, apple would help to regulate blood sugar and wont be too difficult to digest, i would get advice from the gp if symptoms continue
