Bunco (yes - it's not just for women)
Holiday trivia game. Make up your trivia questions about holiday facts and folk lore. Get two sets of jingle bells. Have the couple face each other and ask a question, and they have to ring in and give the answer. (sort of like family feud). - Women versus Men. Whoever has the most correct answers at the end of the game are the Holiday trivia experts.
Questions can be anything from -
Name Santa's reindeer.
Other names for Santa Claus.
What were the three gifts the Magi brought to the Christ child.
What animals were in the manger - that are mentioned in the Bible.
Who visited the Christ child in the manger?
Why were Mary & Joseph in Bethlehem?
According to the poem "The night before Christmas", what does Santa do to make himself rise up the chimney?
Etc.

We play Pictionary a lot at our church parties. Get an eisel with a big pad of paper or draw on a big dry-erase board so everybody can see. It's also fun to have it guys vs. girls - a good, healthy competition never hurt anyone!

Okay so Scattegories isn't necessarily a couples game, but if you either work as couple teams to see who works most efficiently and creatively together or as single players to see how many times a couple cancels each other out, it is really fun. My husband and I almost always canel each other out and work really well as a team. I hope you have a fun time, I love games.

I would go with appetizers, and everyone knows how to play bingo. And why not play something silly like Pin the tail on the donkey. It is always fun to watch a grown person spinning around with a blindfold after a few drinks. Pam

We played this at our Valentine's Banquet last year. Have the ladies sit in a circle (a big one), blindfold the guys, have the ladies take off their shoes and put in the middle of the circle on the floor, make the guys crawl around and find their ladies shoes and put them back on her feet with instructions from the lady as he goes! It was hilarious but some over 50 couples may not like participating. Hope this helps!

Two teams, One has large pad of paper, maybe cardboard size.
Pick words that one person from a team can pick from with out showing it to his team members. They have to draw a picture of the word on the paper until their team guess's what it is.
