You don't have "herpes" in the STD sort of sense...
There are many types of herpes--Simplex 1, Simplex 2, chicken pox, and shingles. It is a virus that always stays with you...it is not a bacteria.
Oral Herpes--which most humans have--is simplex 1. The cold sore or fever blister comes out during stress or colds--i.e. fever blister or cold sore. The virus becomes active during stress or colds because your resistance is down at that time.
Genital Herpes--Simplex 2--causes sores on the genitals.
Chicken Pox-Most people get this at some point in their life.
Shingles--causes pain in an area around nerves--older people tend to get this.
I don't know of any other way to get a fever blister other than having simplex 1 or 2. However, the virus that causes oral herpes is very common, almost everyone has it and in many people it does not show up very often. In some people it shows up as a canker sore on the inside of the mouth...so people don't ever see it just feel that they ate too many crunchy chips or something.
Just don't pick at it or touch your genitals after touching your mouth--oral herpes in rare instances can be transferred to the genital area.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid?such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/z6RiE

Herpes Simplex is just a bacteria in your system. Not to be conrfused with STD Herpes. You get it when your immune system is low. Take Euchanacia for 10 days straight and you will feel better and your blister will go away. I get them once a year and no I don't have STD. Been married to the same guy for 14 years and the only thing I can accuse him if is being a workaholic. I tend to get the blister when I am stressed out. I was told eating yogurt on a daily basis will keep that away.

Lots of good answers except the dork that said your boyfriend is sleeping around. Herpes Simplex 1 is not the STD version. I also have this and I break out with cold sores when I am sick or also stressed out about something. When I was a child I had a cold sore for ever single school picture. I would break out the day before. Now, I mainly get them when I fell under the weather. BUT you can pass them on if you were to perform oral sex on your boyfriend while you have a cold sore.

Well...the TRUTH & bottom line is...NO.
The reason you kept doing your searches & coming up with the same outcome is because it is true.
"Fever Blisters"...aka..."Cold Sores" ARE in fact a form of the "Herpes Simplex Virus".......keeping in mind that it is the LOWEST form, or MILDEST form.
I have been getting "Cold Sores" for many years now.
They accompany a Cold, Change Of Weather, Fever, Virus, Etc.
This is NOT the "Herpes" like "STD" herpes. It is NOT the same thing. ;)
So, you can have all the STD tests & they will continue to come up NEGATIVE. (unless you happen to contract something in between)
I trust that you will always get them now.
But again...no worries because as I said...these 2 forms of "Herpes" are NOT the same.
There are medications out there that work in "Healing" them in NO TIME FLAT!
Me, personally...I use "DENAVIR" (prescription). There are several creams out there that work in the same way.
I prefer DENAVIR because it has always worked for me.
What these creams do is "Pull Out The Sore, Thus Healing Them QUICKER" If you dont use any meds, they WILL go away, however, creams like Denavir just allow for quicker healing time. Denavir also takes the PAIN of em away.
I even had "2" At The SAME Time! :-O YIKES!
TIP: If you can get a cream like Denavir...apply a few times per day...ESPECIALLY at the ONSET of a sore. Like even when you DONT SEE one. You will ALWAYS feel one when it is coming.
So relax & dont worry. They look bad & can hurt like hell...but, you do NOT have an STD. ;)
I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

I got identified with herpes virus (type 2) about 5 years back, when I was still in college and had a mindless one-night stand. I realize lots of young ladies will say this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone who has sores round her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/3QFZU everything improved.
Not only was I able to remove all traces of the hsv from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a packed restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program provided the chance to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the World.
