I recently found out I had chlamydia and I told my partner he needs to get tested too. He told me his results were negative. I've been sleeping with him for about 7 months unprotected. How is it possible for me to have chlamydia and he not to?? I haven't slept with anybody else and he says he hasn't either. Could my test have been wrong?

Also I have been tested before I began sleeping with him and I did not have it. I am soooooooooo confused because I know this did not appear out of nowhere.

he is either lieing that he has it or he didn't get tested. unless you seen it. you guy's need to go TOGETHER that way you will know. it is easier for a women to get STD's cause the go into us. but it can be possible for you to have it and not him. he can be a carrier of it. any person can be a carrier of a STD. so he can give it to you and anybody else. and may not know it. but if he is carrier it won't show up in test. a man or a women can be carrier's of STD's. so maybe that is why he tested negative. he could be carrier. and if you know you didn't sleep with noone else. and you go with him to get tested and see the actually test result's then that mean's he is carrier and he will just keep giving it to you.

I think your partner is lying to you. Please dont go on having sex with him until he is tested and treated. If you are re infected again, you may cause yourself to have fertility problems later on because of pelvic inflammatory disease.
You should be re tested after you have finished your antibiotics just to make sure you killed all of the critters. Although, I think re testing is probably not reccomended.
I doubt very much you received a false positive. Good luck and in the future, no matter what, USE A CONDOM!!!!! Men are not known for their honesty in sexual matters, and you may get HIV the next time. Then you would really have something to be worried about.

case maybe that he's lieing and too afraid to admit that he has it... i know a female who had the same problem and come to find out here bf had it all along and he was the one giving it to her...maybe u should use condoms from here on out until ur 100% eyewitnessing positive that he's negative...there's no way that i know of that u can get chlamydia on your own...key word SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED...he has to have it unless ur sleeping with some one else. point blank

Women are more likely to get an STI from their partners because of the way the male ejaculates into her. He is introduciong a heck of a lot of his infected fluids into her. a man does not get much in the way of fluids into him. basically, one of the ways for a man to get an STI is through open sores on his genitals. So you could have gotten it before you met him, did not show symptoms of it and not given it to him. Just ask your doc for antibiotics and you'll be clean in no time.

It is possible for him not to get it..It is harder for a guy... It could have been someone you slept with years previously...anyway...Lots of people get it and really...no big deal...Medicine will take care of it with no harm done...
