It sounds like PAC's (premature atrial contractions) which are highly dependent on stress, caffiene, inadequate sleep, cold medication, etc. They are common as brown eyes, rarely if ever lead to anything more serious. PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) are usually described as a pause and then a heavy beat. You doctor ordered a monitor to be certain that something isn't happening frequently and to be assured it isn't serious. He had his answer. You went 24 hours without the problem. It must not be happening too frequently and therefore is very unlikely to be serious. Good luck.

It never does. You are probably having PVC's.
Premature Ventricular Contractions
What are premature ventricular contractions?
Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), also known as "extrasystoles are "extra" heartbeats. They arise from an irritable area in the heart's lower pumping chambers (the ventricles). PVCs interrupt the normal heart rhythm and cause an irregular beat. This is often felt as a "missed beat" or a "flip-flop" in the chest. PVCs are often harmless, but when they occur very often or repetitively, they can lead to more serious rhythm disturbances

I had that happen to me before to, they had me wear the holter monitor and I even felt my heart skip but the doctor said it was nothing. I think it was a side effect of my allergy medicine or something.
If you aren't satisfied with the doctor or you think you need the test done again try going to another doctor and explain the situation.

my heart does it as well, and i had the heart monitor harness. I had it on for 2 days. Now the thing is sometimes your heart could skip a beat... be reasonable, even during sex it races your heart and makes it skip a beat or two

and then does it beat a couple of time like it's trying to burst out of your chest?
I had the same problem and wore the recorder for 24 hours, nothing happened.
my doctor figured out that it was to much caffeine, I was drinking coffee an Dr. Peppers. also tea has more caffeine in it then coffee.
it was a simple fix, I cut my intake in half...hope that helps!

You probably have nothing wrong . Still get a second opinion.
Drs, rely to much today on machines.
A friend of mine wasn't feeling well. The cardiologist had him through a battery of test and found nothing wrong. 4 months later (this very month) he had quintuple By-pass surgery.
Please check with another cardiologist.

Being a world reknown heart doctor from way back, this is right up my alley. Sounds to me like you have what we in the biz call a case of heartosis. Commence to drinking mass quantities of expensive vodka, (Grey Goose). In around 3-7 weeks you'll notice a marked improvement in your ticker.

well my mom's heart did that a while after i was born. she said it was SO painful. i don't know what she did to make it stip. but go to do doctor and see what they can do for you. it can be bad for your health. its ok if your heart stops a beat when you get scared or when you see a person you like, but for no reason, just randomly, is not healty.
