All oven dishes: osso bucco, oven risotto, and pan roasted asparagus always get raves and it is so easy to do with most work done in well before guests arrive and cooking mess confined to the oven. From 8 -- 20+ people this menu works for any except vegetarians. Indecision on a menu can be a problem so choose one and go with it. Simple olives and cheese before dinner eliminates problems and is a good prelude to a hearty dinner. The only salad that is always gone is spinach with sliced strawberries and caramelized pecans. Served after dinner it is a great transition to desert. The dressing has poppy seed, mustard, sugar, rice vinegar and oil. Caramelize the pecans with butter, sugar and pinch of Cinnamon and Cayenne pepper. Do a Yahoo search for a recipe for osso bucco and oven risotto and you will find many good ones. Good dining.
