Should I consult a doctor or does this normally happen.I do feel a silight pain in the left side of the chest too when the pulse is really high like130/min which happens when I exercise.

I assume you are a full-fledged adult. That pulse rate is high at rest. get to see your doctor, especially about the pain on exercise. You could be having myocardial ischemia or angina pectoris. Your doctor will have you do an EKG done to evaluate this.

Since you're having some chest discomfort you should definitely talk with your doctor about this. As for the pulse rate some people do have high resting pulses - what you should be concerned about is that the heart works harder when it's pumping faster - you could have some sort of an arrhythmia (abnormal heart beat) - so talk to your doctor and have an EKG done just to be safe

My heart always beats fast like that regardless of what I am doing! I also have heart palpitations and arhythmia. You should definitly see a cardiologist especially if you have pain in your chest. Don't put it off, your health is very important especially your heart! Good luck!!
