Try it. If you freeze a can or plastic bottle, the container may survive the experience. It it doesn't, it's going to make a mess. Put the container in a larger plastic container with a loose fitting lid, but make sure that the lid won't get blown off if the soda container splits. You want the outer container to be able to release the CO2 but contain the liquid. After thawing, the drink should be good as new provided the can didn't split. If it did spilt, the soda will be flat. DON't try it with a glass bottle.

It will lose carbonation if the container explodes or "bugs out". If the container is a plastic bottle and it doesn't lose its seal, just let it thaw in the refrigerator and it will be okay. You can re-carbonate soda by putting it into a container with about a gram of dry ice per 2 liters for about 20 minutes.

If you put a soda in for mabye an hour or 2, it becomes a slushi, If you leave it in for a day, it becomes a flavored soda cube, also try putting your favorite soda in an ice tray, leave it in for a day, take it out and put it in your drink, or just eat it!
