it is good that you are spreading the word. dont forget to recommend the vaccine for young girls so that hpv related illness can become a thing of the past. i wouldnt say that hpv puts you at HIGH risk for cervical cancer however, it does increase your risk for dysplasia and/or cervical cancer. most women with hpv who are followed and treated DO NOT develop actual cancer, which is much more complicated than hpv dysplasia

In answer to your first question: NO, they are different strains. Two types are low-risk and cause genital warts, the other two (16 and 18 I believe) are high-risk and may lead to cervical cancer. I do not understand the second question, but he certainly can have kids.

Yes, I did know that.
One other thought: it is not beneficial to advertise screening this way, in this format.
Screening must be done with thought and careful consideration!
Not everyone needs to have an HPV screening aside regular cytology. It is quite expensive, and positivity must be carefully interpreted. There is no sense in making HPV screening a necessity, unless you have buiseness relations to molecular diagnostic companies... :)

what are the symptoms of cervical cancer or HPV? sometimes i get so worried that i have it because they say that women who are most likely to get this are girls who are having sex at young ages. As for me, i was 17 when i lost it to my boyfriend and we do it ALL the time. i get tired of it at times and what scares me the most is when sometimes we are doing it, i feel like my hip or something starts to hurt and feels like i cant move or something. its really hard to explain but i always worried that maybe it was something serious. anyone have any answers and please dont judge me. thank you!
