Tandoori chicken is the best way to cook chicken. It should have more flavour than any other chicken. I guess whoever made it didn't have a very good recipe.

Gosh No.! You have been taken for a ride !!Tandoori chicken should be juicy and spicy with a typical flavour of ginger and caraway seeds.
The yellow colour is imparted by the use of saffron - an exotic spice from the sub-continent and it too has a subtle flovor of its own.
I think this guy did not do the yoghurt marination properly and the flavour did not penetrate the meat.

it can be if they do not add spice any food cooked in a tandoori oven is tandoori so as nan bread it depends on the recipe.
Chicken usually has a yogurt sauce and spices and marinated for hours could be they ran out of time to marinate the chicken and slopped it in the oven.

No man you got ripped off. sounds like they just decided to put some orange food colouring on it and say here you go. The way its suppose to taste is it should have lots of different spices but not to spicy. Sould be very full of flovour. so I would go complain to the place you went to and say that, that was just wrong and that they shouldn't be serving bright orange chicken.

Agree with the bland part. personally i feel the tandoori is an oversell - some food icon to label what's indian. tried it in indian communities in singapore, kuala lumpur, london even hongkong - big disappointments everywhere.
