It depends on the area, obviously. In the north, Mahgreb etc, it is Mediterranean with couscous and any meat but pork. In other countries like Cameroon, for example, they eat a lot of dishes made with okra, smoked fish or chicken, beef, pork and hot spices. Crocodile is also eaten.

Corn / meats, including poultry / fish / rice / Chapatis ( flat pancake ) , Ugali ( Ground rice cakes ) / Sukuma ( like Spinach ) / Beans etc etc
They like their meat grilled on a charcoal fire. ( they call it Nyama Choma )

In most parts of black Africa, they eat anything they can find, because there hardly IS any food....
Millet is one of the basic cereals more so than rice or corn which are not native to Africa. Those with coastal areas eat fish and certain tropical fruits, native to the continent .
The north african muslim countries eat a lot of chicken and lamb, with "couscous" which is a rolled crushed grain of wheat steamed over the meat which is usually stewed with vegetables and chick peas... Very tasty. Eaten with unleavened bread..
