how many are against it?

I am against animal cruelty. If people were treated the way the animals are treated in factory farms, puppy mills, etc. there would be an uproar of dissent. Also, vivisection is such an unnecessary procedure. If you want to test how a product will be towards HUMANS, than test it on HUMANS not a monkey. Some justify by saying that without animal testing we wouldn't have many things, but these things should not be tested on those who will never have a use for them.

I certainly am against cruelty to animals. Caging the birds, poultry farm are torture prisons, turning bulls into bullocks, hard labouring horses with little food, fish in the bowl are all the examples of animal cruelty. But it is nature's law: the bigger one eats the smaller one. You should not develop association with the creature you are going to eat; if you do, then dont break its trust on you--leave it alone. For the animals to kill to control their numbers, make killing unexpected and painless to them--like a vet does to a terminally ill animal in pain.

Animal cruelty is never a good thing. But are you saying it's cruel to eat animals? Or just certain things, like pate, because the way they treat the geese?
There's things I don't eat, like pate, because of the way they go about getting the product. Veal as another case, where they keep the baby calf's in small boxes so they can't move, the meat is more tender that way. Also, I always buy eggs that are organic and cage free.
Just my preference, I suppose.

Against it! I think animals are great (except for Wasps!!!). Cats, horses, cows, sheep, pigs, spiders and dogs are among my favourites! To be honest, I actually prefer cats to some people!!!
EDIT.
I can't believe the sickos on here that have given thumbs down to those of us who are against cruelty to animals. Shame on you, I hope you all get reincarnated as slugs....although wait a minute.....

It drives me crazy! I hate seeing animals on the streets or being mistreated in any way. If you can't take care of them don't have them!!!!

I am absolutely against animal cruelty. I am not, however, against eating meat. I am not against using animals for medical testing. I am against using animals to test makeup and beauty products. I am against beating or crippling animals and mistreating animals out of meaness. Some people who profess to be against animal cruelty use it as an excuse for their terrorist activities.
