No that is not too young. I know young teens that see Cardiologist. You sound like me. I had gall bladder surgery and then was diagnosed with GERD. I also made an appointment with Cardiologist because of chest pains. Mine it turns out were caused by esophageal spasms brought on by the GERD.
Good Luck!

It is never to young to see a cardiologist if you have heart problems. Cardiologist see people of all ages from babies on up to the elderly. One thing to tell you though that pressure dead cent with the pain you described is most like your GERD acting up but keep your appointment and get checked just to be on the safe side. Since the medication you are on for your GERD is not doing a good job for you mention this to one of your doctors so they can either increase your meds or change them.

If there is a problem. It is never to early to see any type of Doctor.
My sister, was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33. Thank god she found the lump and told her doctor. If she waited until she was 40 to get a mammogram. She may not even made it to 40 to get tested.
When I was 35 a had a stress test because of tightness in my chest. Everything was fine but it was worth getting checked. Don't take any chances. Go to the cardiologist and make sure.

No! never too young. I'm very glad you made the appointment. Most people don't take care of their health. Just so you know, GERD can behave a lot like heart problems and it's the most common differential diagnosis. The best way to check is going with a specialist. But don't worry, hopefully it will be only a minor issue. Good luck on friday.

You are never too young or too old. If there is something wrong, it needs to be sorted out. Things can affect people at all stages of their life. Just because you are young, does not mean that you should automatically be healthy all the time. These things happen. Go and see the doc and get better!

Cheers!

Nope you are never to young to see a cardiologist. Babies are being born with heart problems teenagers are dropping dead after playing a sports and people in gerenal are having heart attacks at no particular age group.

Of course it is not about the age here ...we must go to doctor whatever bad condition we might feel so we could be awared of abnormalities that may cause severe diseases before its too late .... I went to the cardiologist my self when i felt of having tachycardia but fortunatily it wasnt pathalogical condition when i had ECG.... the pain you are having in your upper limbs may be caused by cardiac disease such as MI so you must see the cardiologist but other things may cause thet reflux pain such as problems in parts of the gastrointistinal track ...so i hope you'll be fine and pass this thing normally.

I don't know. I've never been to a cardiologist before, and I'm only 13 years old.

How adorable! I wish we had those guys around here but all I get are owls that are 3 times normal size and raccoons that have ambitions to be house cats! The only time I get to see handsome bucks like that is on the way into town and they are lining both sides of the road.

Definetly, you never want to fool around with circulation problems. If those circulation problems begin to effect the heart, the results could be unexpectedly catastrophic. The thing is, the problem is so easy to avoid. Go see the Doc, it ain't worth taking the chance.
