Something called "sea cucumber" in a Chinese stir-fry (silly me, I thought it might be some kind of sea vegetable or seaweed).
I later discovered it was a type of worm called "Medusa worm" that lives in the sea.
It was actually quite tasty, but I dare say I won't be eating it again.

The weirdest food that I have ever eaten was ethoipian food.I tried this on 132nd and Lenox Ave in a caf'e called Geichens. The food was served on a big wooden dish and you could not use any forks or spoons. You had to eat with your hands. The food was so hot that I had to take a cold shower when I got home.I also had a hard (hot) time in the bathroom if you know what I mean.(LOL) P.S I had to check if I was bleeding.(LMAO)

Blood pudding in a traditional Scottish restaurant in Glasgow. I'm usually very experimental when it comes to food, and I travel a lot,so I am kind of forced to eat weird stuff, but this was definitely not something I'd order again.
Oddly enough, I like escargot, tongue, kidneys, liver, even grasshoppers and brain, but the idea of congealed blood just doesn't do it for me.

I ate muskrat once for Red Wing tickets from a radio station promotion.
Oddly enough, it didn't taste all the bad.
The hardest part was getting over the idea of what I was actually eating.

Swallow's nest - it's a chinese delicacy that's usually put into dessert soups like almond tea. It's basically the spit that the swallow produces to hold its nest together - dried when harvested and crunchy/gelatinous when cooked.

Pruchetta (sp??) -- it is like bacon. I am sure it was cooked somehow, but to me it felt & tasted like raw bacon. I was given a piece by my son's NEW father-in-law. I just stood there with tears welling up in my eyes praying I was not going to throw up on him. He just politely handed me a napkin and laughed saying some people don't like it.

I've had Squid (Calamari style) that was really good.
I've also had the snails before too, they were just OK.
My favorite weird food tho is Cow's Tongue!!
Sounds so gross but it's SOOOOOOO good!!
