Ugh, you can make it by boiling, soaking, roasting acorns and then grinding them. I heard the Native Americans taught the colonists how to do this when food was scarce. The thing is: acorns taste awful, even roasted, and they are full of tannin which can be poisonous if you do not treat the acorns in the right manner to remove the tannin.
